I ordered a black one this morning after seeing the link in the M class thread. Can't wait to receive it -- will almost certainly be needing a new F5 key on my keyboard before June is over.

FYI.... They are also selling a parallel version of this and a complete DIY kit for those with soldering skills and looking to save some money.

Where are you seeing a parallel version available for order? All I see is the one I assume is series (doesn't really say) and the kit.

From my conversation with them they will do the parallel upon request. We are actually having this debate right now in the sxmini M thread. From my understanding, there is no benefit of running in parallel. With series, if you don't run the device at the higher wattages the series allows and use it under 60W or 50J in TC (all that you could if run in parallel), you will still have the benefit of the total mAh of the dual batteries as if run in parallel. Making the parallel version pointless.

you get uneven drain on the batts in series though. Might be an issue for some!

Just placed an order for a Black Boxer! So happy :w00t: I had a few questions so I sent Ginger Vaper an email around 4 AM and had a response a few minutes later. My first time ordering from them but so far it seems they have top notch customer service. They told me it should be around the 25th for the first batch to start shipping and I luckily got in on that. The waiting is going to be torture though.

I pulled the trigger on one. I love plastic mods. I have a bap DNA40 that I carry daily but just doesn't have enough power for a wide-open dual coil ni200 build in my airier drippers (my Velocity rarely hits 400 degrees even with the airflow almost closed) so I can't wait for this!

The most you'll get is 50 j with the powerful plus. You'll have to go kanthal in order to go higher. I'm going to get me the diy kit because it's obviously cheaper.

I would have loved to go that route but I have no soldering experience. I personally think the extra $80 is well worth it for the 6 month warranty and to have it assembled for me by a professional.

Its a cool looking mod.

I personally have no issues with Nylon at all.

A bit pricey, I'd like to see something like this in the $125 range.

Eric.
You'll have to wait awhile for that, but thats ok! Unfortunately anything carrying a J chip won't be cheap as the chip itself isn't (79.99). You could however attempt a build yourself. However if your like me, no background working on things like electronics. Going to be stuck with finding decent alternatives.

But hopefully I'm willing to take a swing at it somewhere down the line. Maybe late summer or fall I might try my hand at it. Hopefully by then chips will be a tad cheaper, like a dna40 for example. So I don't bone it up to bad and end up paying more then if I were to buy something mass produced.

But damn it all wish I came across this month ago. I would of backed out of my vaporlips order. In light of this which has 2 batts and the 150w chip, and is still cheaper .

This looks amazing. I think I'm going to get the diy kit since it's cheaper. Unfortunately I don't have experience in soldering but no better time to learn than the present

Just be careful if you've never done something like this before. Price is still kinda high to have a screw up which means an 80 dollar board is down the drain. Not saying don't try! I will try my hand at it later on this year or hopefully then things get a bit cheaper. That way my pocket book can relax after I dumped alot of money these past few months. Don't need to be wizzing more money away lol! But if you do good luck and let me know how it goes!

If you have access to a soldering kit now, get some simple practice. It's really not too hard to get down.
