BP always on, no red light anymore

Disaster, after the snap button, the 'rust' wheel by moving up, now it's the clicky button that no longer clicks - also the bottom cap doesn't shut it off with half turn, it need a full turn...
No red light, so the unit is always on. The click is only light.
Suggestions?
Yes, I know visit to the buzzospital and a long wait (I'm in Lisbon...)

Did you get juice in it from a tank explosion ? this normally causes the switch to stick , take off the top cap and look inside ( do NOT break the WIRE !!!! ) it is full of juice ? is the switch still glued to the tube inside ??

There's some juice but not really much (from occasional drip I suppose).

So switch must be properly glued to the tube right.

Yes it should. I would suggest an alcohol bath first to get the juice cleaned up for better adhesion.

Thanks 5card I'll give it a bath (5 minutes?).
But I'm afraid the button is just loose, I'll try to glue it tomorrow but it's quite thin there.

Yes clean it first ( we have to do a better job of this also ! ) then use superglue to re attache it , not too much !

Yep, this worked for me (before I broke everything else lol).

lol Modrod, I think I'm following your steps.

The buzz took a alcohol bath to the hole button and I've put a bit of super glue and it seems quite in place (had some problems with glue in the threads but fortunately could clean it up).

To no avail: still blue as it's color. Seems the click isn't strong enough as it used to be.
Using the BP now turning the bottom cap 1/4 turn - it's like a bottom turning button lol

Dry it out some more ! if the button has alcohol or juice in it is will stay ON , does it click now ??

MO not a bath !! the Pro series does not like the bath like the OB ! crap might be toast Jp ??? the alcohol gets into the heatshrink tubing and if it NOT removed or completely dry and you power it up it will short the IC !

PLEASE do NOT use an alcohol bath unless I instruct you too , FYI ! and them follow my directions 100%

It's confusing.
It turn only red before the 2nd bath.
It was only blue before the 1st bath and for a few days - and was a only a light clicky and now it's no click at all.
I feel a bit sick as I have turn to ego's 3.7 again lol.

Sorry JP ! I know that being in Lisbon makes this SUCK , long time to ship back and forth ! this is one of the drawbacks of international sales .
