I was posting to a thread about vv mods and dccs recently and as soon as somebody posted that the BP has a 3amp limit another member posted that it is actually a 2.5amp limit and was kind of bashing buzzkill for not correcting people who said it was 3amp. Buzzkill did respond to the post explaining that he could not post specs of his mods outside his sub-forum do to ecf rules. So I figured I would post the question in here to give buzzkill the chance to clear the air so to speak:)

So what is the amp limit for the BP? I would like to know so that I or anyone else do not post incorrect info about this mod and possibly turn away future customers with bad info.

BTW I did get the opportunity to use a BP for a day on loan from a good friend recently and it is an excellent device, in fact I would have ordered one already if my car didn't use up all my mod money for repair costs on Mon.:(

Im not Buzz but I can say this,

The controller has a wattage limit. If you hit that, regardless of amps youll kick in the protection mode. Once that happens the controller will still fire. It just pulses so it dosent die. Mine will push a 1.6 ohm dual coil to around 4.7 volts before kicking in. This does vary a little on different units. ive seen a range of 4.5-4.8 depending who posts.

This is 2.9375 amps
and
13.80625 watts

OK here we go , from the tests we have done and many users have done and BETA testers have done the BP can push a 1.5 ohm carto to 4.7 volts

MATH
4.7v , 1.5 ohms = 3.13333 amps @ 14.72667 amps

so 15 watts is NOT an exaggeration IMO , OK we can say 14.7 watts if that is better !

as stated before and I will state it again the BP circuit has a throttle for the current limit if you try to draw to much current it will reduce it to stay in a safe operating zone .

The circuit is MUCH more complicated than just a simple linear regulator , just like the =other BOOST type devices they are NOT a simple math formula, the BP has an optimum operating ZONE , I point my customers to this ZONE for best performance ..

I noticed that the " FRIEND " has not posted here , I invited him to post here several times.

some people just like to do " A DRIVE BY SHOOTING "
you know like an old school drive by shooting .

Ok, First of all, I really dont give a hoot what the actual Amp limit is. I was just trying to correct people form giving out wrong info. Second, the 2.5A limit was given to me by Buzz himself. And here is the proof! I have nothing more to say!

In my experience, when a regulator "throttles" to stay within the safe operating zone, what it actually does is drop down the loaded voltage.

So the question becomes, was the 4.7v figure taken as a loaded voltage figure or not. It may have been set to 4.7v Unloaded, but with that load applied, it could have had a pretty massive voltage drop to stay within range.

No what it does is throttle the CURRENT not the voltage it tries to maintain voltage in all cases.

This is NOT a standard regulator it is a total circuit this is why it works with DC 1.5 ohm cartos where as the Pro V does not.

Some people just hate other peoples successes and spend their lives complaining or trying to pick apart other peoples successes. One thing everybody that has a modicum of intelligence knows is the Buzz Pro and the Infinity Pro are the best PVs on the market for vaping. Now if you want to fry bacon and eggs you should use your stove and not your PV.

Why are you freaking out? And not to be rude or to accuse you of anything, but why would you post two different answers on two different forums for the same question? And what is BS? You are the one that posted on VF about a 2.5 amp limit, not the him/her.

Couldnt have said it better myself! I expected the fanboys to jump up and defend their purchase, but damn!

Buzz, instead of yelling like a monkey, try to defend what you said and answer the actual question. You wanted to see the PM and there it is. But I guess when you are put on the spot with actual proof, all you can do is yell out BS because you have nothing more to say.

Like I said, I have posted the proof that he is full of ....., Im done with this subject.

Oh and one more thing. I never took any stabs at you or hated on your success. As you know, I tried to place a order for a PB and traded many PM's with you about it. I have no reason to hate your success. All I was trying to do was correct the wrong specs being given out by others based on the info YOU had given me!

Oh and just as a reminder, you still havent answered why you claim it can handle 3A but you told me its rated at 2.5! So please try to stay on topic this time and answer that question without beating around the bush or calling names.....

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't hate you man, I don't know you. But as far as getting straight answers it seems they are lacking. If you can answer with some civility, we in turn will do the same. Why can't we just have a straight answer without you freaking out. And I mean this no to offend, but it is becoming true. Even if you are frustrated that "we don't understand" simply explain why you posted two different numbers for the amp limit on two different forums? Mistake? Your not really sure so you throw out numbers? What is it?
