Brand New Battery Not Pulling!

Hi Guys,

I tried posting this in the Halo forum however it wouldn't let me for some reason. I have a brand new Halo G6 manual battery (the longest one) and have fully charged it, however when I pull a freshly filled cartridge I get no lovely vapour or flavour... Just air flow coming through as Im holding the button...

It feels as if the battery is somehow not heating up the liquid or is not connected properly but I have tried it with different cartridges and still the same result.
Im pretty sure it wasn't doing this in the past so is the battery broken or is it a problem with the cartridges?

Cheers guys! :)

Is there an led light around the button, or on the end of the battery? If so, it should be lighting up. If it isn't click the battery repeatedly until it blinks. This means it's on.
If it's lighting up and youre still getting nothing, the battery isn't connecting. I had this issue with my MVP2 and Igow. Take a knife, and very gently, sort of wedge up the contact on the battery. You won't see it come up. Don't use much force or you might ruin the battery. The contact may just be too low inside the battery to make the connection.

You have to have 5 posts in order to start posting in other forums. So, 2 more and you can go back to Halo subforum.

I agree with Markill about the center post in your battery--it sounds like it's not making electrical connection with the center post of your cartomizer. If that's the case, you may gently, very gently, try to wiggle that center post up a hair, from all sides, using a tiny screwdriver or a pair of tweezers, from all sides. If that doesn't help, contact Halo--your battery may be no good and they should send you a replacement (or offer you a refund).

You may also try a circuit board spacer--don't know where to find them down under--here they are sold by Madvapes. You just drop one of them onto the center post of your battery and you're golden.

Good luck!

I did some research on halo to help you out and i found out to turn on the unit, the battery MUST by clicked 5 times in a row quickly or in secession to power the unit on initially. Then once you do that you can vape. The battery will NOT turn on unless you do the 5 times clicking to start it. The 5 clicks should be done rather quickly. This is how you will ALWAYS turn it on and off. 5 times on, then another 5 times off. It will NOT work unless you do this. If you tried clicking the button 5 times rather quickly in session and it's not working then you need to return the unit for a replacement. If it's a new unit never fired before it shouldn't be a issue getting a refund. Remember you must click 5 times to turn the unit on and off.

Hi Guys, Its just the normal manual hold down the button to activate battery. I have tried the suggestion of pushing the button multiple times but still seems to have no effect :(

I tried putting my finger on the battery and holding the button to see if I could feel a warming sensation... nothing! could be a dud battery and they take weeks to get here :(

You keep making the same statement -
Hi Guys, Its just the normal manual hold down the button to activate battery

The question is NOT are you pressing the button.
The Question IS - Is the LED Lighting up when you Press it?

You have been using your toppers on other batteries. Chances are that you have compressed the Center pins in the Toppers. This will cause a gap when attached.
Try wiggling a center pin down(just slightly) and try it again. If no luck, you likely have a defective battery.

Do you mean a pin in the cartridge or in the battery!? The battery does light up when I hold down the button. This problem is really stressing me out and I don't wanna have to order a new battery when this one has never been used.

I have posed a pick for you guys so you can see what I mean in more detail.

Pic1: I compared the long battery seen in pic 3 to the battery that is working. it seems the top of the battery is a smaller size than the other? Could this be the problem?

Pic2: The long (non-working) battery next to cartridge in pic 3.
