I am new to filling cartos (v4l equip) and tried boiling, turkey baster and tamaryn spin. All this to make my cartos good for a little while longer. Since i was new (3 weeks no analogs) i was chain vaping and did not know how to take care of cartos so i was going through at least 3 a day. OMG. The above measures got me through......but i got some fresh cartos today. filled one with juice and went immediately to heaven. No more cleaning etc. I will top off to extend and be careful, but there really is no comparison. i wasted half my juice on dead cartos. hope this helps:blush:

I'm pretty cheap so of course I tried it. I think what frustrated me the most was reading all the posts about people doing it and I couldn't. I tried every technique on the board- boil, rinse, etc. Put them in the oven, spun them around, tried to dry them with a hair dryer. Someone even said they put theirs in the clothes dryer and I tried that.

The best I found was the carto cleaner kit from smoketek. Drying is still a huge problem for me, plus like the OP said, it stinks when you go through the trouble to clean them, then fill them and they're dead. You waste all that juice.

The biggest problem with cleaning cartos is that once they start tasting "off", it's usually due to the filling and/or wick being scorched. If it was just a matter of getting the old juice out, that would be easy.

But burnt is burnt. Light a piece of paper on fire and then try to find a way to put it back together by "cleaning" it. Can't be done.
