    Hiya folks,

I have been vaping since 2010 however with the ban on shipping vape products in WA state prices have gotten downright silly. Locally the cheapest I can find is 100ml for $35 and thats almost triple what I was paying when I was ordering from online websites. I wanted to try to get into DIY, and so here I am looking for guidance. As luck would have it I was recently on a road trip and picked up 6 gallons of pre mixed(70/30) from a company in AZ. I also have about 2 dozen small(10-30ml) flavors that I kind of picked at random.

My biggest issue is not re-inventing the wheel. While experimenting is generally good, I would like to get my feet wet so to speak before I start wasting $$ on flavor abominations that should never see the light of day. That said looking online it seems like you cant get the same answer to a question more then once. Hoping I could find some wise individuals to guide my unsteady hands! Cheers!

DIY is as easy or as difficult as you want to make it. And in the learning process, you will create an abomination or two along the way. There are several good recipe websites out there but personally I enjoy creating recipes. Once you learn kinda how flavoring percentages work, the rest is fairly easy and simple and is only limited by your imagination.

Care to share what company that is? Would like to add them to my list if I think it's worth adding them.
The company I bought from is Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers. For an online order the minimum is 5gal IIRC. Thus why I bought so much. I see so many opinions on how long it should last but I cant buy it from anywhere I am aware of in WA state so buying bulk was my only option.

I appreciate your comments. I am sure it can be stupid easy or chemist level insane. But from someone who has never made DIY the "how-to" on flavoring can be a bit overwhelming. I was hoping i could reduce the amount of waste from learn "how flavorings work" by learning from the vets ;) Luckily the PG/VG/nic has already been premixed so I suppose thats half the game taken care of.

It's been about a year now that they only sell to businesses through their site. I'm surprised they do retail sales offline.

They will sell to the public but its pick up only from their lab. This is how they get around federal bans on shipping nicotine supplies. I could be wrong but only nicotine/nicotine containing products are limited by business licenses as to comply with federal guidelines. Not knocking companies who sell/ship anyways.. but I prefer to not need a lawyer to keep my hobbies.

Thanks. I just read their shipping page and it does say that they sell retail if you pickup. They're going back on the list.

crigon_04.gifto ECF Chiisaiinu. So glad you are here and congrats on the long-time vaping. I think your avatar has a story behind it. girl_haha.gif

It did not take me long to get involved on DIY because of the cost association and because I like know exactly what I am vaping. Believe me when I say if I can mix. . . anyone can. I went through the phase where I enjoyed mixing and then it just got to be a chore. So I changed to mixing unflavored (which is extremely easy) and I have been content ever since. I did not smoke different flavor cigarettes so I am quite happy with the menthol that I add to my unflavored.

The good people around here can easily help you with any questions that you have and how to get started.

Enjoy and make yourself at home.

What PG VG should You mix ?
well ... I have learned here on forum from masters about coils and also mixing my own juice but I also started to research best of the best on Youtube for example from "DIY or DIE" guy... I like the way he explain things.. so here is a video about PG VG mixes enjoy

when i started to mix first i watched this video, i will never forget that moment :) it felt like im in a lab school micro biology class :0 :) its so much fun with small adrenaline rush.... I use the same website for mixing and calculating the percentage for pg and vg and my separate nicotine and also flavors...

here watch this video ... it will help you a lot ! step by step...

now flavors..... very deep topic ..... its been a year and a half and im still testing and maybe half way done testing all my favorite mango, pomegranate, watermelon, mint, menthol , eucalyptus, rasberry , passion fruit ....... and hundreds different flavors from "bull City Flavors" Bull City Flavors - Largest Selection & Best Prices on Flavoring because in my opinion they have amazing prices specially with 15-20% off on labor day or black fridays or some other special days, sign up on facebook to see when are next deals and their shipping is just absolutely perfectly splendid fast!

I would recommand buy 10 flavors that you love but .... only with the highest and most rated reviews.. we are talking 200--300 people rated 5 stars then yes buy it, if its only 2-3 people no , skip it or take a chance but most of the flavors i bought and which were rated by 50-300 people 5 stars ... it really is top .... there is , for example Capella Brand -SweetMango"- for me its just absolutely amazing flavor mixed at 5% or Watermelon- Flavor Art brand mixed at 1% is to die for . the flavors you bought might not be great so please dont give up until you try extremally highly rated flavors by many people and for sure you will find something there that you love .

buy smallest bottles to try out and once you love it a lot then buy bigger bottles later to save money.

keep your pg vg juices in brown glass bottles which you can buy on amazon and throw it in the freezer so its always fresh for years.... and pour some to other plastic container just enough to last for 2 weeks and then refill if necessary this way it will last forever and be always fresh .

good luck and have fun with this, its amazing adventure. cheers !!!!! ;)

Another thing that i will add is please make always notes about how this flavor tasted you created because next week you wont remember stuff and the only thing to remember is to take detail notes about what it taste like now or in 2 weeks steeped or what you do? how much percentage on flavor you did? with flavor dont go more then its recommended by the brand, for example Capella (CAP) is mixed at 5% , some people go 15% i think its insanebut everyone is different , be carefull with Menthol brand FW Flavor Wes if You love mint scent because its very powerfull , I actually go lower then recommanded on that , also take notes about how much pg or vg you used on a created mix?

This way next future mix you can adjust to get it to perfection "YOU" love and wish to be. Without notes it will be long long long never ending testing.

another thing ... Sweetners, forget about them they will mess up your coils , most of the flavors already has sweeteners in them try to not use it unless you dont mind spending .... load of money on coils and replace them every weekend.
