Brand new with a mvp question

Hello guys,
First of all I just want to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Connie and I'm from Anchorage Alaska and quit smoking this summer and started vaping. I lost both of my parents to smoking related illness and promised them I quit. That is the reason I switched to vaping.

Introductions aside I have something to ask about my Mvp 2 shine. I'm going to be honest, I am quite clumsy and I have dropped a a few times but recently it started cycling through all of the lights repeatedly when I try to charge it and will not charge. I have tried different cords, turning in off and on and I shook it to see if I hear any rattling and nothing. Anyone else have this issue?

Welcome to the forum Connie :)

I guess I'm going to state the obvious: Like any other electronic device, the MVP probably can't stand up to repeated drops and abuse. If it worked fine and is suddenly acting up after being dropped "a few times" I would think that is an indication that something is broken.

Maybe you can contact the seller to see if there is anything they can do, like an exchange.

Good luck.

The MVP is a great device. Mine has been dropped plenty of times (Trying to moonwalk, letting clumsy friends use it, etc.). Even though its durable, Its not indestructible. You might want to contact Innokin about it and see if its something with a simple solution, though it does sound like something is malfunctioning. Have you eliminated the possibility that its charging without the light coming on?

Welcome to ecf. I'm really sorry to say what you likely already figured out but it sounds like the unit is damaged likely beyond repair. I also have a mvp2 I used before moving up to a higher wattage unit so I know a bit about the device. If it's cycling like that and not taking a charge then it sounds like the internal area is damaged. I don't know of any way to try and reset the device. Maybe it is still under warranty from the manufacturer. ? In that case, contact innokin and tell them your issue. Hint don't say you dropped it.

Try to cycle it yourself. With it unplugged, push the fire button three times quick then plug it in to the charger and give it the three quick clicks, unplug it and do the three quick clicks again. Don't know why but this has brought more than one MVP back around. This cycling business usually occurs when it detects a short or when charging another device off of the USB out. If you have any more questions, please bring them to the MVP users group thread where there is a wealth of MVP knowledge.
