It should be able to charge the I phone, especially since you saw one that was successful in doing so. I would continue to return the product until I received one that worked properly. I would explain to the supplier that you have seen the mvp2 actually charge a I phone successfully with your own eyes and you will settle for nothing less. Hopefully you will receive a properly working mvp2. Either that or go to a supplier that you can TEST the mvp2 BEFORE you purchase it to ensure its properly working. If you actually SAW it successfully charge the I phone, I would not settle for less. I hope this helps out a bit. I Have A MVP2 I Use As A Backup To My DNA 30 AND It charges My Phone Perfectly fine, However I Have A Samsung Galaxy S5 Android. But I don't see why it shouldn't be able to charge a Apple? Not unless it's another restriction Apple put on the phones charging system. But since you witnessed it being successfully charged, I doubt that's the case. Was the phone that was successfully charged the same as your phone? If not, this could be the issue. However if it was the same phone as yours, I would keep trying until you find one that is successful. Try before you buy, if possible. I hope you get it sorted out. If their was ANY difference between your phone, and the one you saw charging, I would guess your phone might not have the ability to be successfully charged by the mvp2. However if their was no difference, I would search and try them out if possible before I bought one. I sure hope you find what your looking for and wish you the best
