Hey there, I'm brand new to this whole e-cig thing and I'm hoping to avoid wasting money from buying things that are not necessary or that I won't like.

I have been smoking for 20 years or so, generally what used to be considered "light" cigs, and generally duMaurier or similar brands. I'm hoping someone can suggest a starter kit that would give me the bare necessities to get started ( not interested in pretty carry cases and the likes ), and that would give me as close to the same "smoking experience" as possible.

Also I live in canada so specific US vendors won't likely help me unless they also sell directly from canada, I have read a number of horror stories of people losing their shipment and money at the border.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to ECF WannaBFree. May I suggest that you ask your question in either the New Members forum or/and in CanVape subforum.

There are so many good choices for a good starting kit! Read our InfoZone, our new members forum and Baditude's blog before you make your decision. Do you want a cigalike? A larger, ego-class battery? Variable voltage? An APV? How much are you willing to spend? How much are you willing to tinker with your hardware?

The more you know, the easier it will be to choose a kit that's right for you!

Good luck!
