Brass button on new Reo problem

So I got my new Reo Grand today. Ordered the Brass button to make him complete. The Brass button top, just spun around and wouldn't lock or turn the fire button. A bit a super glue fixed the problem. Any one else have this problem with the brass button?
(I'm not good with super glue, thank god for 99% alcohol). At least he works.

I believe a lot of folks have put a small piece of dental floss over the button, then pressed the brass cover down over it, and trimmed off what's left hanging out. That tightens it enough to stay put, but you can easily pry it back off if you need to.

with the brass button a small piece of string is included with it.
you are supposed to lay the string across the fire button and then press on the brass cover onto the switch in the locked position.

Guess my eyes are too old to see any kinda string in the button bag. Oh well. Life goes on. At the amps I run, I shouldn't ever have to replace it anyway.

Then put on the jeweler glasses to find the string this time.

Well got the new button in. And also found the little string. Works a lot better than super glue. (And those plastic buttons are a lot harder to cut than I thought they would be). (But at least I didn't scratch my new Reo . )
