I feel ya bud on the money spent.

I purchased my first e-cig a few weeks ago at the local smoke shop which was the RN4081 (Smoking Everywhere Gold Edition) - $75

Then I ordered some replacement prefilled carts - $52.65

Then I found this forum and done some research (which I should have found and done first)

Bought some e-juice (1 30 ml bottle of Apple and 1 30 ml bottle of tobacco) - $39.90

Found out that these carts for the RN4081 are a PITA to refill so I started researching new models and methods.

Ordered the Vapor King (kr808) from V4L Ultimate Kit and some blank cartomizers - $114.66

I want to do some direct dripping which I couldn't do with this new unit with an automatic batteries and cartomizers soooooo......

I ordered 3 910 atty's and 3 boxes of blank carts - $30.00

Still needed some manual batteries so back to V4L I went. I wanted to make the most out of my shipping so I ordered

4 XL manual batteries and while I was at it got a couple sampler packs of 18mg juice - $78.86

Also wanted to try the blue foam mod for my carts while im on the go so I got some blue foam and some tweezers - $10.30 (got raped on the shipping but oh well)

And now here I sit with my RN4081 awaiting all my other stuff to really get started vaping lol.

Total cost so far in 2 weeks $401.37 but this "should" hold me over for a while. At least I hope lol.

Edit: Forgot to add $24.00 for supporting member access here. IMO all good forums should be supported and I have already got tons of information from the members and threads. Well worth it. So add that to the tally lol.

Is anyone keeping real tabs on how much they are saving minus what they are spending on vaping to get a real sense of how much they are saving by not smoking analogs?
Well, my banner calculates it'll take five months for me to break even. But, it is only counting the cost of the PVs and juice vs. the cost of the analogs I was smoking ... it doesn't take into account all the rest of the money spent. And, I'll most certainly spend more before I get to a break even point. Doesn't matter to me!

I believe it will probably even out, in the long run I might even save money. Now, if you take into account the avoided medical expenses ... the savings in money and suffering is probably immeasurable.

See post #13 in this thread for my breakdown.

This is my first post and new to vaping...only 10 days...you have made me feel better about what I have spent so far because I thought I was going a little nuts with making small orders to different sites to see what their products are like. There is so much to learn but have been checking out this site to help understand this whole new way of life for me. :)

Oh no. My first investment was athe joye 510 from anycig. Good price from China for the starter kit. The total I gave in my previous post was strictly from tax refund.

AnyCig
1 x 10pcs Black Empty Cartridges for Joye510 (Mini E-Cigarette Blank
Cartridges) (JOYE510-CARTRIDGES-EMPTY-A) = US$2.38
4 x Free Shipping - 30ML E-juice with 80 Popular Flavors - Original Smoke
Juice - BOGE DEKANG Brand - Childproof Bottles with YNDK LOGO
(E-JUICE-YNDK-BOGE-DEKANG-30ML-AF) = US$40.00
Strength XHigh = 24 mg
Flavor Cherry [F08]
1 x Matte Black Joye510 Starter Kit (2 Manual Switch Batteries Mini
E-Cigarette) Dual Atomizer Kit (JOYE510-KIT-MATTE-BLACK-A) = US$34.99
Wall Plug USA
LED Color Blue

Total : US$77.37
Shipping: US$5.22
Grand Total : US$82.59

So my Complete and total investment would be $365.21

not terrible, probably just above a monthly expense of analogs if you purchase them like I do, randomly at whatever convenience store.

Hey CaptnJay, I wasn't ignoring you but I was busy at work all day and just found this thread again (on the second page!!)

Anyhooot, yes, the patches made me feel sickish and weird. I didn't sleep for almost a week and had strange, sweaty dreams, and then I was just ...... off all the time.

I went one month without smoking but I was a bear and I could not stop the cravings. I just really missed the "act" of smoking. After finding this site and realized there was an alternative, I joined the bandwagon, so to speak!

I'll never look back. Smoke smells disgusting to me now. And I don't regret ONE PENNY I have spent on vaping, just to get back OT.

:D

I won't put the entire list here, but in just about 8 months now I have spent right around $2500 on various things. And I am including everything from blue foam to tackle boxes to dart cases to stainless steel springs. Out of all of this there is about $450 worth of stuff I wish I had not bought. That includes lots of juices samples I didn't like, and things like the first tackle box I bought which I had to replace with a bigger one later.

The good news is that I've really only spent about $200 in the last 4 months, mainly on little things like dart cases and various items for trying different cartridge modifications.

Keep in mind though that this $2500 also includes a massive stocking up effort such that I have enough batteries and atomizers to last for 10 years, and enough juice to last for two years. So if stocking up ever becomes clearly NOT necessary, then I will have about $700 in batteries and atomizers that I may never need. This doesn't worry me, as I have enough money, and don't ever want to have to go back to smoking again no matter what.

Edit: Here's a link to when I first posted the itemized list in December: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sion/52822-e-cigs-anonymous-2.html#post805738
