I've been vaping since December... Started w/ Yeti 510 kit. Then moved to eGo-T kit, just recently purchased Reo Mini which so far has been underwhelming, and just 30 seconds ago I ordered Vapemate... I have about 50 juices, most from FSUSA... With various other little knickknacks, I'd say I'm about $500 in. My partner would probably kick my ..... :/

I went through V2 and bought a starter kit for myself with additional (5pack) of carts; came to about $88. Then I bought a couples kit and a 20-pack additional carts for my parents (heavy smokers), which cost about $120. Let me not forget liquid from primevaping at $30, and another $80 for blank carts from bloog. So I have past the $300 mark.. lol

I too started out with V2, alas before I found this forum. I got a 20% discount on a starter kit. Got the "travelers kit" which had a PCC, a manual KR808 passthru, and the car adapter (charging batts only, won't run the passthru). The package deal had 15 cartos included, along with a pair of batts. Paid $125.00 (incl shipping). That was on 1/31/2011.

Since then I've picked up another 20 carts from them for $1.00 (got credits for other family members getting a kit), so I can't really complain too much. Got some clearance juice from vaporcountry.com, 10mL for $1.49, bought 15 bottles worth, even if it sucks it was less than $25 with shipping (en route).

Another $7.00 at hobby lobby for some Lorann English Toffee and Cherry flavor, along with 60mL of VG, to try my hand at some cheap DIY with zero nic with the dead cartos I'm starting to accumulate.

I've got to say switching off nic carts with zero while I'm at my desk working is a GODSEND! Keep the nic carts for when I have a "smoke break", take 5-6 good hits and I'm set for 30-60mins. The zero I vape the rest of the time.

I'd love to try some dripping, once I get an adapter for a 510 atty for this KR808. The mods are calling to me as well.

I originally started out with a kit from 7-11 about a year ago for $20. I found this place and upgraded to a 510 kit from cignot for $35, bought some juice and a driptip. I have a very long background in compounding medications at a vet's office, so naturally I was attracted to making my own juice, initial cost for the basics and some flavors was about $40...Like DC2 said, starting out can mean a lot of things. Eventually you'll have your toolbox built up with all the basics you need for your needs. And of course every time some new piece of equipment comes out, you're going to want to buy that too... ;-)

Wow. That sounds like great prices. If you don't mind, can I ask where you purchased the bundle?

Looks like this was overlooked. I believe that looks like a Liberty Flights deal. They have specials every now and again. Just be sure to click the 20% off banner at the top of the page. And make sure to look for the LITE BUNDLE because it's cheaper. Good company.

When I get into something I tend to go a little over board. I picked up golf this spring, and I already have 2 sets of clubs. I also picked up flying RC planes and helis about 3-4 years ago, which I intentionally do not keep track of the money that I have spent (rough estimate is in the 5K range). So compared to other things I have picked up in the past several years this is definitely one of the less expensive ones. My total so far is:

First order from cignot $190: joye 510 no box w/pcc and extra's for a total of 5 batts, 5 atty's, 10 battery charger, a drip tip, and, total of 70 ml of tobacco flavoured e-juice
Second order from Gourmet Vapor $50: a whole bunch of e-juice about 100 ml
A camera case from Wally world : $9
Blue foam for cartridges: $8

So I am sitting at $257 and I still need a pass through and I will probably hit up vaporbomb this weekend so by next week I'll probably be at about $300-$325 into this, and I just started vaping on Wednesday . I should however be set for a good while after this. One good thing is that my best friend and his GF have also picked up vaping, and my brother is contemplating picking it up, so any juices that I don't like I can send their way so that they won't be completely wasted. The thing that has definitely makes it worth it is the lack of severe withdraw symptoms over the past 2.5 days that I have faced in the past while using the patches or the gum.

No matter how much I read in this forum about people spending this or that much, I can't stop thinking that I'm spending way too much when I don't need it! lol I'm far from being a heavy vaper, but for some unknown reason, I keep checking stores for more and more stuff and I just got my first kit last Friday (yes, FIRST kit since I already ordered another one 0.0)!!! I don't even vape 1ml/day and already ordered more than 70ml of ejuice from different vendors, not to mention cartos and accessories >.<

In sum, I spent roughly 200usd so far which means I shouldn't buy anything e-cig related for the next 4 months if I want to try and break even :D But I doubt I'll manage at this rate lol

Best deal is Liberty-flights Joye EGO, they have a discount for ECF AND you can still add 20% on top of that so the kit was a real bargain around 42 bucks. Not to mention an ultra-fast delivery!

For $40, a co-worker who'd been vaping for several months, and dabbling in DIY, hooked me up with:

1 - homemade 510 box mod w/atty
1 - spare 510 atty
2 - 14500 batteries
1 - battery charger
6 - assorted 24mg juices, mostly in 10ml bottles

At the time, I thought it was a pretty good deal. Looking back, almost a year later, I realize that it was an awesome deal.
