This is a great thread. Thanks to everyone for taking the time out to give me such excellent advice and recommendations.. I have looked at all the links you've sent me, and there are some awesome, mouth-watering, selections!!! So this is what I finally decided to do: I agree that everyone should have an ego, they are versatile, easy, and small, so it's great for work. However, I am also ready for something a little bigger and a lot more durable.
I stated my budget for this paycheck was 150 dollars. That is still true, however, by May 1st, I can spend more - probably in the area of 300 dollars. I also wanted a little extra time to really research your recommendations and make the most informed choice I could. I ordered another 1000 mah twist to use for the next two weeks (and for backup). I also got a nice selection of juice from HHV, a bridgeless atty for dripping and spent the rest of the money on Ego starter kits for both my parents. They are two smokers who have loved using my Egos and might be ready to give up the cigs forever so I wanted to give them the absolute best chance to do that. The kit was a great price - $40 and it comes with two 650 Mah Batteries, a USB charger and a wall charger, and two CE4 clearos. It even comes with a nice case. Can't beat that with a stick. I picked up extra atomizer heads and they will be set, each with their own kit. For the next two weeks, while I'm dreaming of what new and awesome PV I'm going to buy, I'm going to spend the time teaching my parents how to vape. I feel like I'm saving two lives.
As for me, I have two weeks to find an APV. I love my Ego and I'm glad that I re-bought the 1000mah twist. But in addition to that, by waiting the two weeks I'll have more time and twice the budget to find a larger, more durable device. I am seriously looking at the Vamo, since it got so many great recommendations. I like the idea of using those replaceable batteries. As for mods and RBAs and such, that is definitely in my future. I am quite handy and worked with computer hardware for a good many years. Before I even think about that, however, I need more time and experience with vaping. I still haven't found my all day vape yet.. I'm hoping Heather's will remedy that.
So, I'll update the thread when I've decided what kind of APV I'm getting in two weeks. Keep those suggestions coming - I do research each and every link and appreciate your extremely valuable experience. My journey into vaping was rocky, I won't lie. Its a lot of learn, a lot of equipment, a lot of trial and error. I wouldn't have gotten through it without the amazing members of ECF. I've quit smoking almost two weeks now, and I give all the credit to you. Thank you.
