Hello :)
firstly I would like to say 'hello' to everybody in here. I am new to this forum and stared vaping about 10 months ago.

As the thread name says I need some advice about soldering wires in my eGo Vsmart battery. I managed to solder both wires to the pcb, but I need to know which wire should be soldered to the metal head of the battery. I assume that it is that black one (-) ? Next question is if that wire must be connected directly to the battery or could it be soldered on the pcb? Right now with that wires connected only to the pcb when I press the button and hold it, it flash three times and then starts to glow continuously - just like it was just connected to the charger. I saw people posting similar threads on this forum and getting right answer, so I decided to try as well ;)

Here is the pic of how it looks like now:

And a closer look on the pcb:

Not trying to be a smart ... but you need to do a better job of soldering. You want all of the conductor strands soldered to the circuit board so the wire will be capable of carrying the current. If only a few strands are attached the chances are quite high that it will burn in two leaving you with an inoperable unit again.
When all else fails get a digital volt/ohm meter. It is a must have tool to check the polarity of batteries that are not marked.

Thank You for Your answer :)
I will resolder it in a better way so that all strands will be attached. About battery polarity - it is marked on it - black wire is '-' and red wire is '+'. So what about ground? Should I solder black wire (-) to battery head and to circuit board as well? That questions may sound stupid but I am totally newbie in that sort of things, and if I end destroying completly that battery nothing bad will hapen. I will just buy a new one in near future. But now I would like to try repair this unit.

There should be a second black (-) wire attached from the PCB to the eGo housing. The threaded part of the eGo connector is ground (-), so positive (+) goes from battery + -> PCB -> connector center pin (+). Negative goes from battery negative -> PCB -> housing. The PCB contact point of negative may be shared with the battery negative and housing,
