Hi All -

As I have posted before, I am a low wattage vapor. For example, when using a regulated device (I know, the horror), I will run a 1.8ohm coil at 8 watts and that is the perfect vape for me. I am super sensitive to wattage/heat for some reason.

What might you suggest (gauge wire, number of wraps, diameter) to mimic the above? Try as I might, Ohms law is just not my thing, so all the basics would really help.

I am discouraged, as I love my REOs...I just need to tone it down! I thought I was all set, but I was wrong.

Thanks in advance!

6 wraps of 32g wire with a 1.5mm ID will get you your 1.8ohms. I wouldn't recommend a larger ID as the number of wraps would be lower and I have a kind of personal rule not to go below 6 wraps.

This will net you 10 watts pretty much on the button.

The thanks really go to all the dedicated Reonauts who, when we first started using rebuildables on our REOs, were kind enough to share their builds with the group.

Even though I'm LONG past trying to find my "sweet spot", I still reference that sheet from time to time, and it's turned out to be a real help to a lot of folks just getting started.

REOville is such a great place to hangout :)

Try a 30 gauge 9 wrap coil on a 1/16" drill bit. That is what I used to use. Now I do the same only 8 wraps (for a bit more warmth). The 9 wrap is nice and smooth, very low warmth. 30 gauge wire has more surface area than 32 gauge and helps get more vapor out but at a lower temp. 29 gauge wire takes too long to heat up at low power so I found 30 gauge to be the best option.

Thank you...so far, it is a good option for me! Vaping comfortably. :)
