I have a trinity by faceless, brand spankin new! It's awesome! but... I have a 6 wrap on a dual coil tugboat with 26 or 28 gauge Kanthal. Idk which one. But it's at .36 ohms. I am trying to figure out why it's taking longer to heat up? It usually hits instantly(you know, the crackling noise, right when you hit the button) but it's not, it takes like 3 seconds to heat up, then it gets big clouds. But I want it to heat up right away so I don't have to wait 3 seconds for it to start crackling.

Any suggestions? Or does anyone know exactly what I'm talking about?

Just assuuming you have checked your battery charge?

if thing are charged up it might be time to clean the coil. If you have eko wool or silica wick just rinse it under water then dry burn it. if cotton, pull the wick and dry burn it.

your contacts on your mod might need to be cleaned as well.

So its been working fine since it was built and just stopped working good? or its a new build and just not performing like your other devices at that resistance?

I just figured out that he was right about tightening the contacts. I think?... I'm still new to mech mods, I don't know what those are,. But I tightened something, and it worked for 10 mins, then I woke up 30 mins ago and took the top off to put in a new battery and the thing won't even fire anymore!..? It just doesn't work now... And the little plastic screw that unscrews and screws so the battery doesn't jingle around in the tube... Well, that whole piece came off. I don't know how

There is what happened. That piece just literally fell out and hit the ground when I was trying to change out the battery.

Did the ecig shop set you up? im not trying to be rude but it doesnt sound like you know enough about mechs, rebuilding and the safety of it for you to really mess around with it. Mechs can be dangerous if you dont know everything involved in the set up. Lots of good info on here to get you started and lots of youtube videos.

also please list eh battery you are using. I know to many vapers that have had there RDA built at the local shop and they are using batteries that are not made for it.

Not trying to be mean or anything, just dont want you to get your face and hands burned.

It's an efest 18650 purple battery. And I don't have an ohm meter but I know enough and am still learning, definitely enough to not get hurt. I had the button heating up on me awhile back, and I completely stopped vapin on it and went and got an iTaste VTR until my local shop had a chance to help me. So I'm well aware of how they work, but the tugboat is a new dripper to me, he never showed me anything on it, he just built me a coil, I told him not burning hot, and not cold, so he said, "You wanna blow big clouds!"? I said yea, so he set it to .35 and asked me how that was, I said perfect. And blah blah blah, but yea, purple efest 18650 batteries. I have the Trinity-by FaceLess (brand new mod he just started making). And no, it's not a hybrid,

a multimeter is pretty much the top item on the mech mod list for safety.

batteries are good though for your build and as long as vape shop guy tested the atty for shorts then you should be good there. you can get a MM for $5 at harbor freight. grab one so you can check your battery charge and if you start rebuilding you will need one.

Again not trying to talk down to you or anything (hard to tell tone from the computer) just want to make sure your safe.

So everything is working fine now?
