Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

The mini fasttech enclosure is 68.5mm high, so technically a 65mm batt has to fit in there with some machining. I hope this can be pulled off!

I did some research and YES, you can shoehorn an 18650 into a Hana Mini. Here is the FastTech thread. Several people have done this already.Hana mini with 18650: FastTech Forums

How did you install the varitube? tapped? if so did you jut use a hand drill? and did it turn out level?

Drilled it out with a hand drill. Ya its level

From what I've been able to glean from the FT website, they don't offer just the enclosure, correct? If they do, could someone post the link?

They only have the complete clone pack with the 2 lipos. Those are mini.

What ft offers is the enclosure with wires and 510 connection. I will post a link when I get to my comp. They have the enclosure that fits 1 18 650 and also the mini that fits lipos (or can be worked to fit 1 18650)

This is the FT 18650 box. Mine came no logo, I guess the early ones had logos.

I didn't want a logo so win for me!

BTW, your chip cradle works great!

sanjosse, I just picked up a couple of your chip cradles. Any chance of you having a cradle for the Evolv USB any time in the near future.

I'm a little OCD and would like the port to line up nicely.
