I'm trying to help someone with a build that can do 150-200W. Honestly, I don't have a clue. Most of my RTAs and RDAs wouldn't be able to handle it, for one. I have a slew of 100W mods, but nothing higher so I've never tried.

He has a Snowwolf and is looking at a Velocity rda. I do have a Velocity that I put dual Claptons in. 26g core wrapped in 32g are mine. But, I like this in the 50-60W range, not 150+W, lol!

So what does one have to do to get to 150W or more? Or is that not the right atty either?

You can do a quad coil of those claptons. You can do fused claptons with N80, 26g and 36 wrapped over, 5 wraps on a 3mm but will get you 0.15 ohms. You wan't something simple? 22g or 20g kA1 dual parallel at 6 wraps.

My current setup is fused claptons, 2x24g kA1 and 36g N80 wrapped over. 5 wraps on a 3mm bit. 0.09 ohms, sitting on a triple parallel mech mod with 3 sony VTC4's. Whatever you're running. Make sure your battery can handle the load. Even though it's a snow wolf with a regulator, it won't tell you how many amps can safely be discharged.

Theres no limit on the snow wolf aside from the wattage output, it all depends on your batteries. If you're running on Samsung 25R's (20amp limit) best not to push beyond 40 amps since its dual battery. If he was pushing 4.2v at 200w, thats 47amps you're pulling there.

As for my triple parallel mech, it's not lethal, I just like being safe. 3 VTC 4's = 90amp limit. Though I don't play with that limit, just to give myself head room. Next I'm going to build a quad =D

That's good info, thanks. I didn't realize it had no amp limit.
