Not a tc build but my first build, and its on the subtank mini rba. .7 ohms but I haven't gotten it to work good yet, pretty sure I need better wicking. However it is 26g
doubt you will find many using 26g Ni200...Ohm/metre a bit too low....
anyway, 12 wraps around 2.5mm gives you 0.1 ohms so not so bad really. Twisted and duals are a non-starter unless hybrid twist with kantahl but that is a bit pointless for 26g...
yup good call! Dont do much with Ni these days as have moved to Ti but when I did, 28g and twisted 32 pretty much all you need!
I'm also seeing a lot of people twisting 28g nickel with 30g kanthal and having luck with it on tc mods
I use 28ga NI200 twisted with 30ga Kanthal A1 as my primary coil.

Is that a dual coil? Also how many wraps are you using? What is your target resistance with that build? Sorry so many questions lol.[emoji38]
Just an update, not that anyone asked but Im kind of proud of my first build. I got that coil working great right now. Just needed better wicking and I made the juice channels bigger.
I have been using 26ga NI200 fully twisted with 30ga Kanahal A1 on 3mm, 6/7 spaced wraps, producing around .07 ohms depending on the atty. I use this build on my Lemo 2, Delta II, and my Kangertech Mini for several weeks now. Coils are stiff and easy to clean off in the sink with a toothbrush and last about 3 weeks due to juice gunking and it being easier to just replace them than spend the time to clean them.
My next venture is with similar dual Ti 2.5mm coils on my Zephyrus, and dual NI200 or Ti coils on my Mutation X v4 dripper. I need to calculate out the build but with my SXM but I can build to around my goal of .065 ohms and not needing giant coils. That is my plan for this weekend along with some DIY ejuice making.
Sweet. I just did 15 wraps on 26 gauge on a 3mm bit. Its .13 thinking I wanna go lower. My IPV 3 Li will handle .05
Keep having problems lately on my IPV3 li. I can't get a good build with ni200 on temp control. My usual build is 16 wraps of 26 gauge on 3mm. As of late it has stated that it's too low resistance. So I tried 17 wraps and then even 20 now out of wire. I'm confused... Still at .048 ohm and minimum is .05 for said mode. Usually 16 wraps brings me around .065 any ideas?

I looked up the ipv3 li and it says it goes down to .1 not .05
Yes it's minimum in power mode is .1 ohm. In joules mode for temp control it is .05 ohm. I've been using a .065 ohm build for 2 weeks and have had no luck with my usual build....

Sounds good. Is that a 3mm inner diameter? All I have left is 28g for now till I get back to the shop...[emoji53]
