Burned taste? Help

Ok, so my husband is having this burned taste. He has a Joye eGo with a LR mega atomizer. He uses a drip tip. He has only used it for a week now and has worked excellent until today. I tried cleaning it, adding more liquid, blowing it out and nothing seems to get rid of the burned taste. The throat hit seems to be pretty weak as well. I normally don't have any issues with the attys but he tends to burn them up real quick. Any ideas what he might be doing wrong? Any ideas how I can get the burned taste out?

If you have a volt/ohm meter (multi-meter) check the resistance on the atty. I'm not sure what spec your mega-atty is supposed to be, but, if it's out of spec,it's best to just file it in the circular file (trash it). As to the burnt taste, I discovered an interesting thing. I had an atty LR-510 that had a wicked burnt taste, tried soaking in alcohol, tried different juice flavors and nothing was working, then I looked down deep inside it and noticed that some of the wicking material that sits under the bridge was sticking out and looking very dark and burnt. Took a set of fine tweezers and pulled it out and BINGO, no more burnt taste. It's actually my fav atty now.

Most attys have a plastic disc in the bottom of them and if it has started to melt sometimes they just carry on and taste foul. It blocks the airflow sometimes to.

If the de wicking as above fails scrap it for health and safety's sake. Wish they would not use plastic is is just a poor idea in a hot place.
