Burned tongue

My GF recently replaced her older 510 with a KGO battery and Vision cartomizer so she wouldn't have to deal with burning packing material in the regular carts. She said the new one might have made her tongue raw and painful, and after trying it myself I can definitely feel a slight burning sensation. We got the lower ohm version which in theory should have reduced vapor production. I would say the juice she's using but don't want repercussions.

I'm frustrated as I'd like to see her quit, but she keeps going back to cigarettes instead of using this unit.

I have to say that is a new one on me. The only time I've had my tongue burn at all was when vaping Atomic Cinnacide. I wish I could help, but I'm baffled on this one. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Heat=Vapor Production=Power=V*V/R (Power is equal to voltage squared divided by resistance, Ohms)

Dropping Ohms will increase power, vapor, and heat.

you guys are most likely getting a nicotine liquid mist from your device. nicotine making contact witgh the inner lining of your mouth is not pleasant and does indeed burn. if youve ever rolled your own cigar, youve most likely tasted nicotine in your mouth and the sensation is identical.

solution: try not to draw as hard. when vaping, your draw technique is different than that of cigarettes. when smoking you take a quick burst and get a mouth full of smoke. if you use this technique with vaping, youll suck too much nic liq and end up with a very fine mist of unvaporized nic liq in you mouth. what you want to do is take a much slower and longer drag than you ever would off of a cigarette.

if the device is not allowing enough vapor production with this method, it may be time to upgrade.

I think I get this a bit when I chain vape. The advise on altering your hit enthusiasm level is probably a good one.

On a somewhat related note, I ate a bunch of salt and vinegar chips last night and my mouth feels a lot like what you are describing.

What was your GF using, Carto-Atty-e-Liquid, with he old 510 that didn't give her a burning sensation?
