Burning Cartomisers? Dangerous?-510/Kr808/4081...etc filler type cartos

I don't know if you guys can answer this, but I'll ask anyway...

I just placed an order for a few more XL CE-2's from www.e-liquid.cn. I have a ton of shorties in metal body but never bought many of the XL's before now. I picked up 100 of the XL 510's in black for $77.24, which if I remember correctly is a pretty decent price. After seeing them "on sale" at e-liquid.cn and checking some of the suppliers here on ECF, I'm starting to wonder if the original CE-2's might be on the way to being discontinued. Everything I'm finding state-side seems to be either clearomizer or CE3-CE4.

Just wondered if anyone had heard anything...

Why do you have to laugh at me? *tear* LOL Anyways, still haven't tried the Platinums and so, I can't comment on any similarities nor differences between the two cartos. The boges and Fusions have the same exact draw but, I seem to be getting better TH with the Fusions. Don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or not. That's what I've personally noticed.

It is very interesting to hear how IKV offered only select ohms with their cartos when Boge has discontinued theirs. I've read around the forum on how he his cartos and atties are made in China. So, I wouldn't doubt that his cartos are made by Bogetech.

I'll definitely let you know what it looks like inside. Although, I doubt that they will appear to be any different then any other vertical coiled carto.

Did you ever test the resurrectors yet? What are your thoughts about it? Curious to hear your thoughts on them.

Ha! This is very interesting! I tested IKV Fusions (801) months ago; they came in 2.5Ω only (same resistance as IKV Premium Platinum cartos which I loved--I still have a few). I ordered a couple of Fusions because everybody raved about them, so I had to give them a try. I bought a 510>801 adapter, vaped a little and couldn't understand what the fuss was all about; to me they vaped exactly the same as the Premium Platinums. So I took them apart and found them to be identical inside--the only difference I saw was the connector. The IKV Fusions looked exactly like the Premium Platinum cartos and they all looked just like my beloved Boges.... But everybody was telling me that the Fusions are different and special and magical and worth messing with an adapter...

A few months ago, Boge stopped making 2.5Ω cartomizers as they couldn't meet the tolerances, so now they are only offering LR Boge cartos (~2.0Ω) and SR (~3.0Ω). I went back to IKV to get some more Premium Platinums because to me they seemed just like the Boge cartos and they came in 2.5Ω. Guess what? Yes, IKV doesn't offer Premium Platinum cartomizers anymore; insted, he offers IKV Platinum LR (2.0Ω) and SR (3.0Ω). And the IKV Fusions are now offered in 2.0Ω and not in 2.5Ω anymore....

Coincidence? I don't think so.... They are all the same good old Boge cartos--rebranded and possibly tweaked to Isaac's specifications, but I'm ready to eat my hat if they are not all manufactured by Bogetech, or whomever manufactures Boge cartomizers.

Please dissect your Fusion and let me know what it looks like inside.

tiburonfirst , Thanks for all the good information. I just don't want to peel wrappers of of cartos/steel ce2's. I will need to check but I have some clearo's and if they fit I can dremel a hole in the plastic and use it that way. Thanks again, good info.

According to the website they have CE-2's in stainless in both regular and XL.

I have some CE-2's with wrapper and I just hate to spend the time getting the glue off. I quess I am lazy. LOL

Thats good info. I looks like the site is in China and have never ordered outside of the U.S. it seems some people have had problems with their orders coming into the U.S. Wish they had a U.S. distributor.

joe, that is the site people from the ce2 thread ordered from and i don't remember anybody having a problem with the orders getting here.

I've ordered from them several times before this and never had a problem. All you need is a paypal account to pay from and a shipping address that'll have someone to sign for the package. Make sure you order enough to cover the freight charges.

Once you go direct you'll never defect.

GotVapes dropped the standard CE-2's a long time ago so I'm not sure if he'd know.

Besides, he stays so busy I hate to bother him.
