I'm fine with new hard plastics; after all, I don't cook in my clearos and they never get overheated in normal use. As for tanks, I held out long enough and now we have those beautiful new BCC cartos so I'll never need a tank! Yay! All that hole punching and drilling somehow never appealed to me. I'm lazy...

I don't do those type of tanks because the carto in the center has filler in it which is going to burn. . I can taste it, even when it isn't burning...

Nat... Katya was using the CC's as well, last I heard. I've got only one eGo-c atty/tank going now and mostly CC's with a few stardusts. Again - part of my 'luck' is not overvaping any one PV - I don't get the heat some do. One thing not noted was the Tabac/BCC's do have some 'cracking and popping' when new (the good type - like a good cisco lr atty

Yeah and away from any cloth...lol. I don't get the burn one can get with the eGo system. There is some but the higher ohm'd (2.2) is nice and it seems higher than the eGo SR to me. I still think the spike in the ejuice on the eGo is 'operative' in the burning. Not all flavors, but some.

Ahem... sales pitching? Here? We exchange information, test cartomizers, and share our observations with fellow vapers as well as with vendors and manufacturers; we beta test new designs; we suggest changes/improvements; we flirt, argue and celebrate our milestones and major holidays, we work and have fun, but we do not pitch any sales! Ever.

Now wrt to your last question, the short answer is no! The design and materials used in cartomizers have been improved over the years, but some things just can't be fixed: every time you place a piece of flammable (no matter how burn resistant) material, like cotton or polyfill, next to a hot coil, the risk of burning will always be there, be it due to user error, electrical short, overheating, or material degradation.

For that reason, most manufacturers are now concentrating on developing fillerless cartomizers, and with great success, IMO.

I know for a fact that Kanger T3 and Evod eGo cartomizers are fully rebuildable. Other models can also be rebuilt, but the process is much more complicated and is not recommended for the faint of heart!

Good luck! BTW, you can get the evod replacement coils for $1.50, which is very reasonable. The Evods are smaller than the T3s, but I prefer the smaller size.

I am using the Viva Nova with replaceable coils and they work great but seem to gunk up to fast and need to clean and dry burn. But they are VERY easy to clean and dry burn because you can see the coil very well.

I am also using the 1.7ohm xl carto's and buy keeping a few filled they last a long time and when they quick performing I just toss them, but they do seem to perform alot longer than the Viva Nova.

I use the Viva Nova around the house and really like it. Same problem with the wick gunking up but if your juice is a "gunker" you pretty much have to live with that no matter the device. I usually burn out the coil on a Nova after about 10-12 dry-burns.

I'm still impressed with the CE2's I bought a looong time ago. I've cleaned these things I don't know how many times and they just keep on keeping on. I buy other cartos (like the Viva Nova) not because I have to, but just 'cause I like to try out new stuff every now and then. At the rate my CE2's are lasting, I'll probably be leaving some to relatives in my will.

And +1 to Katya for going back THREE MONTHS in this thread to *like* posts. That there's DEDICATION!

Banjo, give those new bottom coils a try--they are really nice (Kanger T3 and Evod). They are my favorite right now. Unless you absolutely have to have the coil on top; some people do.

Neither do I.

They just look massive.

I'm ordering my Evods as we speak. At MyVaporStore, they come with a 2.4Ω coil; should I order a few 1.8Ω coils, just to try them? How do you like those LR coils on your T3s?
