Hey. I'm not too new to vaping. I have vapid in the past. I use a pen vape. I have a burning taste. Now I know why it tastes that way. It's the atomizer. I just don't know why. I bought a new setup today. I have never had this issue in the past.

So I bought the setup today. I primed the atomizer as recommended and put it in the pen. First dozen puffs were great. Then burning taste. Ok. Took it apart and primed it again. Made sure there was fluid everywhere. Inside and out. Worked great for a dozen more puffs. Then did it again. Ok. Did some Google research. Maybe I didn't prime it right. Followed all of those suggestions and again. Worked fine for a few puffs. Then burning again.

So I followed the last few directions. Covered the air holes and dry puffed a few times. Worked great for a few puffs again and then back to burning. I can plug the air holes and dry puff frequently and make it not burn for a little while. But I don't want to have to do that every single time I want to smoke. Especially since I smoke a lot.

It is a small pen and it's not getting hot or overheating. Nothing gets hot.

I was thinking maybe it was just a bad atomizer. I only bought one spare though and don't want to waste this new one if it is something that may be an easy fix.

It does have 2 small wicks. But they are well saturated.

Is your device capable of varying the voltage? You are describing what happens when the power delivered to the atomizer is too great for the wicks to keep up with. If you can't adjust the power, and there's no way to increase airflow to keep the atomizer cooler, you will need to switch to an atomizer with a higher resistance.

Unfortunately I can't vary the voltage. They said that this specific top was made for this pen. Maybe I should go to a different shop and ask for a different top(sorry. I'm not sure exactly what it's called lol) with a different atomizer?

It should be on the packaging (if there was any).

Does the atomizer look anything like this?

Well...Without a pix or better description it sounds like a ce4 Clearomizer...I asked how long the wicks were because I've seen Super Cheaps with rather short wicks...And some of the cheap Clearomizers just taste nasty no matter what you try...

I just spoke with the shop I bought it from and they said they have the batteries made from electronic cigarettes. And the tank is made by aspire.

Not quite. I called the place I bought it from and they said they have the batteries made from Electronic Cigarettes and the tank is made by Aspire. I'll post a pic that it looks like

You can try thinning it with a little distilled water or PG. But really probably best just to get something decent to begin with.

These work great and are around $15 on clear out with shipping from China. Low end easy to joyetech ego one mega kit

Thank you very much. I will look into getting one of those

Well...Aspire is a reasonably good ce4...Unfortunately even with that being said...They are small devices and having one be bad wouldn't be unheard of...???
