Burnt atty?

I have an atty that smokes, yes smokes!

I rinsed it out after it started happening and let it dry out for two days but it still smokes, tastes rancid and smells like oh I dunno, crap?

Anyone else have this problem? any fixes? I've got atty's comming in the mail but this was my extra as my other just died.

if you have a multi meter you can check the resistance of the atty and sounds like it might be a bit high if its getting that hot..

I sure don't, well have'nt been able to find it anyway. I honestly don't think there is much I can do but drag on, my atty's should be in tomorrow.

What's the model?
Have you tried tail piping it?
Have you tried it semi-flooded?

it's an l88b.
Tail piping? blew it out, same thing.
flooded it'll vape but it tastes like ....

It's the other way around. Atties run hotter when the resistance goes DOWN. And it's pretty hard to get that to happen.
