1. Alright guys I'm using some DIY strawberry cream when this happened, I primed my dual fused clapton coils thrice, let er sit for about 15-20 minutos, and come back to experience a not burnt taste (but maybe) but maybe a bland taste? The juice taste very very excellent through my Centurion RDA with a single tornado coil (even with some burnage.) What could cause this, anyone know? The tank I'm using is the Smok TF-RTA a very excellent tank my favorite I've owned to date it is grand on flavor, it made me realise how nasty this watermelon jolly rancher liquid really was my dad has lol.

2. Whenever using some certain juices (store bought and DIY) I notice whenever I replace my wick that there's black juice burning to my coils. It'll look like swamp watah, burn onto my coil almost solidlyisheque like haha, and then burn off completely once I pulse her good enough any help?

Honestly I've been vaping for a looong time ever since those .... stick egos hit the market lmao. Being in the New Members Forums makes me feel like a nooooooob haha. Much love, and thank you!

1. Improper wicking most likely too tight.
2. Normal coil gunk, caused by several flavorings & all sweeteners, nets are coil gunkers too.

If you don't like the new members forum there is a vast amount of more specific sub forums to explore / participate in.

I know I got my wicking doooown. I looked it up and do believe it to be additive stuffs. And damn yo thanks for that forum info!

Sweeteners Sweeteners Sweeteners, the worst of the bunch is sucrose and lots of manufacturers use way too much of it.. anything more than 0.7% is way way too much best to stick around 0.5% if you're going to use it.....

I agree, I use Ethyl in my juice and boy does it gunk up those coils...... but lack of flavor could simply be those Fused Claptons need more power going through them ?

Claptons gunk up quick, they act as a wick themselves, the slow ramp down time of those fused Claptons also means that the juice is still vaping on the coils and wicks after you stop firing the device, this will make them gunk up within one days use. Usually it is best to keep drawing on the RTA for a few seconds after you release the button, trust me, it works well.

It could be your wicks aren't saturated enough, the lack of flavor is usually too tight of wicks, the inside coil ID can also play a factor plus airflow used. I'm not sure that RTA has top airflow, if it has, make sure it is shut off..

Hope you get it sorted anyway.

Yeah man I know my wicking is good forsure and I prime them (coils and wick) about 3-5 times before use, let it saturate for about 10-30 minutes. But maybe it is the claptons and I will head tour advice bud, also what's an inside coil ID?

By "coil ID" he is referring to the inner diameter of the coil. Beyond the things already suggested the only thing that comes to mind is coil positioning relative to the airflow and how the air is flowing over/around it is quite a big part on flavour.

Oh ok, thanks for letting me know! But the airflow is right beneath the coils!

Vaping clapton coils is a technique. If your vaping claptons without giving the coil some ramp up time and continue to pull a couple secs after you stop firing them your just burning juice onto the coil(cocoon). Pulling too hard before the coil heats up properly is another coil killer, your trying to vape on a coil thats not heated up thus just burning juice. I went into DIY cause I couldnt handle the excessive sweetness of commercial juices any more and my wicking lasts a couple weeks now as compared to a few days with commercial juices.
There are so many variables to whats happening, most have already been covered by others. Rayon is great wicking, definitely look into using rayon rather than cotton. TFV attys are finicky to begin with to wick properly enough to frustrate me who's been rebuilding for over 3 years now. Pick and peck at your atty till you find whats the problem. My problem is seeping Merlins and between the few forums I'm in, I've read hundreds of posts, tried several bandaid fixes but still seeps....my research continues.
