Burnt Boreas

I have had my Boreas for at least a year or more now and it has been my favourite tank to date. Easy to build on, very easy to wick and flavour has been great...... until now.

No matter what I try I get a very horrid burnt taste. It is not a burnt wick taste. It is not a burnt coil taste. It is like a burnt electrical wire sort of of taste, taste like the smell of a short in wires.

Doesn’t matter what wotage I use, what could I build or what wicking material I use. Think there is an issue with the Boreas itself.

Any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a hot leg... make sure you have no hot spots and that the legs are properly tightened in their terminals.

I think I'll go with door number 2. I accidently burned an insulator once and it was an unpleasant vape all the way home....

Tried multiple builds and ensured everything was ok that end. Tightened and retightened after burning and setting the coils. Ensured no hot spots also.

Think this may be the issue. Tried again this morning and noticed when firing the ecig it seemed to be producing vape from around the insulator before the coils.

Can these be pulled apart and a new insulator put in?

I'm not familiar with that particular rta so I don't know. Some are taken apart by removing the 510 pin which hold everything in place. I'd wait for some feedback from someone who knows that rta though, before trying to undo the 510.

The better manufacturers will also sell individual components, such as the whole build deck.
