This is my coil 5 wraps 30 kanthal 1.98mm ID 1.55ohm even vaping as low as 5 watts I get that burnt cotton taste after 1 hit. You see how saturated the coil is, and there are no hot spots, coil glows eveny from middle outwards. The pic was the first cotton wicking where I used lightly pinched amount that glides through coil with very little resistance, after that I tried using thicker twisted cotton and that lasts 3 hits on 4-5 drops. juice is 65/35 vg/pg both 18 and 24 nic. I always read less is more with cotton but I cant get it even close to right. IMG_0560.jpg

Now that it's wet, how hard is it to remove from the coil? Ain't going anywhere? It may be too much cotton.

No I made the mistake of thinking the more cotton the better so I made sure to put way less than I thought I should. I think I figured it out I bought my vamo at the local shop and it came with 2 KINOKO IMR 18350 3.7V LI-MN stacked in it. I bought a second battery for backup/rotation which was an 18650. The stacked 18350's was making the coil heat up soo fast no matter how good the cotton was it would dry out and then glow on my second or third medium sized lung inhale. Once I swapped my battery rotation, the 18650 makes the rda act like all the many ive seen and read about. Of course being sold the vamo like that I was brand new, smoked my last cigg that morning before going in and had no reason not to think every ecigg was equipped like this. Didnt think much of the fact that my backup was a single. Many frustrating days of fried cotton hits, yummy, I now feel like a dumbass because the entire time I was seeing the cumulative voltage of the stacked batteries and thinking nothing of it. Ive been stacking batteries in different devices my whole life never to notice any side effects good or bad. Well eciggs and mech mods especially are a completely different beast. Anyway ramble over, problem seems to be solved. Lesson learned now on to the next stumble.
