Hi all... Question...

I bought a KGO kit for myself and my husband a few weeks ago. All worked well other than a few cartomizers not working correctly. So we got new ones and great... We are set! Still using the Automizer & Cartos too. Well a few days ago, the automizer stopped working. The light on my KGO would start blinking. I tried cleaning it all out and nothing.

So went back to my cartomizers. Well it was working great until I was running low on juice. So I added a few drops, screwed it back on the battery and started to vape. Well same thing now with the Cartomizer that happened with the automizer. The battery started to blink then stopped working all together. Now when I press the button on the battery, it either blinks a ton of times or doesn't do anything. Produces no vapor. So I put the same cartomizer on my husband's battery and now his stopped working and smells burnt out. WTH?? I stopped smoking after 25 years for a safe alternative and this is becoming more work that I ever expected.

What am I doing wrong? Are the batteries burnt out? How can I stop this from happening again? I use the 1.07ohms.

Please keep in mind we've been vaping for a few weeks now with no problems with the batteries. And I'm doing everything the same as I was before.

Thanks for any tips on what could be going on over here. Why are my batteries smoking hot at the touch and not working?

Smooches!

If I am thinking correctly and the series of events is as presented, it reads like an atomizer shorted.

The flashing lights were the warning message from the protection circuit. Then a cartomizer shorted and this short circuit was then put onto another battery.

Is the battery(ies) bad now? I cannot tell without my meter. Hopefully both were fairly well charged when this happened and you can screw a new cartomizer on and check. I do not know enough about the KGO's circuitry to suggest anything else.

Just to add to Hoosier's advice/questions, I have a KGO, and if the resistance of the carto is 2.0 ohm or less, it wither flashes and does not work, or else it cuts out during the draw. Seems to be some max wattage it can handle.

I have also found some cartos get their center-post (makes the center contact when you screw it it to the batt) pushed in flush with the carto threads when screwed in. Like the center-post of the KGO is too extended. One can pry down the carto center-post with a pin, but sticking it in the airhole above the threads, and prying downward. I've made several carto/KGO combos work that way when they were not working before.

On the down side, my 2 KGO batts did die faster than my Ego, Riva or Echo batts. That would be a function of the quality of electrochemical material in side, and I think the KGO is a bit cheap that way. Of all my fat batts, my 1100 mAh Riva's are the most reliable and trouble free.
