Hey does anyone have any idea why my vape would taste burnt right after changing my coil and wick? My mod is a Kbox 200 and the only thing I’ve changed since I’ve started to get that burnt taste is I’ve been trying a little bit larger Kanthal wire when I used to use Clapton 0.7 ohm. I’m using a smok RCA/RTA! I also did prime the new wick. Appreciatecha!
Usually I get burnt hits either from not enough cotton in coil or too much in the tail lenghts, where it perhaps c as n impede juice coming in. Wicking in rtas in general (this is an rta, right?), at such hi wattage, requires perfection, so not enough, too much, or improper tail placement is key. Going thicker with wire requires more power, thus more perfection on wicking and if your not upping power, then your not getting the proper vapor from build. What new wire are you using? You don't really need to keep going thicker and lower resistance for better clouds, as it's like a rabbit hole, so also experiment the opposite way. You might find a similar vape experience with slightly thinner wire and higher resistances , while using less power. It's all about the right balance
