wrapping a simple coil for a protank or CE5 type clearomizer really isn't that bad. THe first 5 you do will be frustrating and take multiple trys. After that something clicks and you can do it in your sleep.

Even simpler to do is a rda like the octopus or the IGO-L. Super simple to wrap and even simpler to install the coil.

<- is a disabled person who's hands do not always work right and I can do it

How much do you drip in a Rebuild able Drip Atomizer and how many hits does it last for? The last time I dripped was in 2010 with a cisco LR306 3 drops at a time and IIRC 4-5 hits at a time. That seems like a lot of work now compared to filling a couple BCCs every couple days and vaping non stop.
WIth my octopus I can easily drip 12 drops and then vape a good 20 - 30 minutes on it if not longer.

The Igo it just depends on how I set it up. IF I set it up more like most people do (ie less wick) I can do 6-8 drops if I set it up like my octopus (how I usually do it) 12-14 drops.

That's not bad. Maybe sometime in the near future.... I'm actually considering this now.

I don't think I'm ever going to wrap a coil. ARO BCC heads are $1.49 each and I only just had my first one die after 6 weeks of hard labor. I think that thing vaporized over 200mls.

PS - And I'm too lazy

Save those old heads just in case, you never know when the supply might dry up or they get discontinued. I personally like rebuilding them because I find my coils just perform better. You would probably be shocked to see the vapor I can get out of a rebuilt EVOD.

I kinda gotta second this. I just started doing my own coils, was super nervous about it at first, but honestly was super easy. After learning on an Octopus, I was eyeing my Protank, which has been sitting idle since I started using cartotanks, and thought, hmmmm. So I watched a video on how to build a coil for one, and wow, what a difference from any stock Protank head I've ever used! It might even start seeing some use again! And even the first time it took all of ten minutes!

I will. And while he's stressing over 0.75, which brings back traumatic memories of being told "you're not applying yourself" in algebra, I'll eat 3/4 of the pizza.

Don't you mean 6/8ths of the pizza?!?!?

All this talk of being fractionally impaired and pizzas reminds me of an old joke.

A blond calls up the local pizza place and places an order. After taking the order, the employee asks the blond if she would like her pizza cut into 6 or 8 slices. The blond replies, "You better make it 6, I don't think I could eat 8." :D

I did have a good chuckle today and a local B&M. 1 dollar a foot for kanthal! LOL

I made the comment "You must really hate selling wire", I dont think the owner thought it was as funny as I did.

I'd love to go over there with a 5 dollar 100 foot spool from temco and offer it to them for 50 bucks.

Remind me never to split a pizza with you :)

I like bigger slices...

I can see that... You would only be eating 4.5 slices... and I could never eat 6 slices of pizza :D

If you just cant/don't want to learn to wrap your own coils, avidvapor.com sells packs of 5 already done for you. You just attach the ends and your good to go. Just select the ohms you want your coils/wicks to come in. I started out ordering them till I was comfortable doing my own.

Had no idea. That's a nice option! I just bought some 0.8 and 1.5 ohm coils, just to check them out. Less than a buck a piece is pretty good. Nowhere near as cheap as the $5.75 I paid for my 100 feet of 30 gauge Kanthal, but still, very affordable.

Thanks for the tip!

With my IGO-L using a doubled piece of natural, un-dyed, in-bleached, un-waxwd, well boiled, 12ply, 2mm hemp wick I don't drip so much as saturate the wick, and I can heavy vape for 5 to 10 minutes... Pull the cap resoak and repeat...
