This isn't really a DIY since I'm not starting from scratch. I have a lot of Butterscotch liquid, and I want to add something to it to change it up. Trouble is I have no imagination. I added Vanilla, but that didn't taste very good.

So what flavors go well with Butterscotch? Would appreciate any and all ideas :)

All the butterscotch juices I've tried have been pretty strong flavored. I've DIY'd some and even at a 10% flavor ratio it was a heavy flavor. That, at least to me, means you'll have to add something strong just for it to be noticeable. You might try some rum or bourbon. How about some menthol? That'd be different. You can try different combo's by just mixing them in your atty. I do that all the time, one drop of this and two drops of that. It's an easy way to try things out without committing yourself to a bunch of yucky stuff.

Butterscotch is my favorite flavor. But when I DIY I need to use a 30% ratio to get good flavor from it (FA). I'd be interested to know what flavoring you use to get away with that low of a ratio. I'd give it a try for sure.

I've only mixed up a few small batches, one 3ml at 15%, one 3ml at 10% and one 25ml at 10% using Lorann's SC. The 15% batch tasted burned when I vaped it so I backed it off to 10% and it didn't burn. It still had about the same amount of flavor when vaped too so I figured I'd just gone past its optimum level when I mixed that first batch at 15%.

Ok, I pulled out the rest of the 25ml bottle that I'd mixed at 10% and it was dated 1/18/11. I'd vaped it after letting it steep for a week and had used about 1/2 the bottle then put it away when I got tired of it. I remembered it as being a bold medium strong flavor. Maybe another couple of months of steeping have settled it down, but it's now about a medium light flavor, not heavy at all but definitely a creamy butterscotch. Maybe I should have vaped it all back in February but it's still pretty good.

I got Lorann butterscotch in a swap. I mixed a test sample @ 10% and it is much too buttery for my pallet. It really coated my mouth and tasted more like microwave xbutter popcorn to me (I didn't add any sweetener). I was not expecting that! It was chucked straight to my swap bin, LOL.

I haven't tried that one, but a general comment... have you tried it at a lower percentage? Many flavorings are awful if you use too much but perfect when you get the right dilution. Also, buttery-type flavorings often need time to rest before they taste right.
