Not at all. If everything threads together very well it's easiest to summarize with "buttery" rather than, "These threads are very well machined and feeds screw in smoothly and with little effort."
Though I could live with "Greased pig threads".

I thought this was in reference to buttery juice. Which just happens to be my favorite type of juice. I love butter! I would vape butter! I know there is a butter flavor at My Freedom Smokes and I'm gonna get it! But anything with a buttery, creamy aftertaste is AwEeEsoMe! I'm currently rotating between Mount Baker Vapor's Butterscotch and Sweet Cream, and Vaporcast's Biscotti. DeLISH.
EDIT: I love Grim Green's reviews, but I absolutely HATE, "let's take a toot", or, "I'm gonna take a toot off this,". When I was a little, little kid, tooting meant farting. Now it means something 100% completely different, and it has nothing to do with vaping, so I won't continue any further.

I guess I've missed the videos where that phrase is used. Sounds kinda...sexy! I like!
I believe the threads on my silver bullet are self-lubricating, but not buttery. 
I'm a machinist by trade, and I've never heard this term used before. Buttery threads... hehe. I'm gonna have to take that one to work. I'm sure the guys will love it!

Buttery threads is almost as bad as nipple top battery.
Most any metal mod threads can be made to work smoothly without a lot of drag or squeaking. Clean the threads out with a soft cloth and a little rubbing alcohol. Sometimes machining residue is present in the threads. Apply a thin coating of Vaseline to the threads. There, done, it's buttery and will probably stay that way.

If you haven't heard threads referred to as buttery up to this point you will now.
I use Noalox, but vaseline seems like a cheap alternative and I bet it works well.
Noalox is great stuff but for a mod, or anything else that gets held close to the mouth I rather use Vaseline as a lubricant. The lubricant can also transfer from the fingers to the mouth. Vaseline is safe to use on the lips and non-toxic. I'm not so sure about Noalox.

I grew up hearing stuff like "that went together as smooth as butter" so hearing threads described as buttery didn't cause me any issue. Maybe it is because too many people are worried about cholesterol and would understand "smooth as Smart Balance" better.
Google buttery threads and you'll see different vape devices. I just don't know why people don't just say "smooth threading" instead of buttery threads.
