I ended up pulling my button out of my mini (it's easy, you just unscrew the black cover inside, move the firing lever over and the button comes right out) and using a pair of pliers, pushed the little nub that provides the locking mechanism into the plastic until it stayed in. Then put the button back in and now there is no lock. Button just spins around and fires no matter how I hit it.

I don't have the same problem with my Grands either. For some reason the mini seems to do that 1/2 lock easier than the Grand. Probably the angle in which my finger or thumb hits it.

Morn mate,
I am a lock remover! I will pull the metal pin out or push it deeper into the button to disable the lock function. Never had a problem with pocket firing but then again, the REO seem to be in my hand most of the time.

Others will encourage you to use the left side of the button and give it a little "nudge spin" while depressing to disengage the lock pin.
Do you have a button cover on the button? Maybe rough up the outer edge for a bit more purchase?

Cheers
I

Rob did mention once that he was looking into adding knurling to a button cover for people like us that seem to constantly have a locking mod problem. Not that it would completely solve the problem, but it would make it easier to get in the habit of pushing the button to unlock at the same time you are firing.

Fire buttons without locking pins on the website would be nice :) Those pins are hard to get a grip on to pull out, well mine were.

ETA - It seems the easiest way to remove the pin now is just file it off (I just did one today), and if you ever want to go back to a locking button buy a new one off the website $5 :)
