I don't know of a fix besides washing it. Run hot water down over the button and up through the bottom.

Usually I use my thumb on the side of the top of the button to spin it to on right before pressing. I have a few that turn easy. It has just become a habit to turn it first.

how do I do that without damaging reo?

The little metal post will go in if pushed straight with a hard object. The side of a small screwdriver should do it. Just be aware that you can't return it to it's out position. You will never be able to turn it off.

You have to remove the delrin insert slide the positive contact out of the way and the button will drop into the mod . You can now push the pin inside of the button . If it really bothers you try putting a drop of vg on the side of the button this may just fix your problem . The truth is its you that is moving the button when you push it down . if you push down without rolling your finger it should stay straight

I repaired a mini for a friend (who bought a Reo Mini a couple of weeks ago)...someone wanted to try her mini and mashed the button so hard it stayed down and the mod started getting hot- she pulled the battery immediately before there was damage. Anyway, after this, there a a click click and difficulty pushing the button. At first I thought it was the locking pin that possibly gotten bent...tried to slide it into the button but it's a whisker to long to be all the way into the round button (on her mini)...then I figured out the real problem- the firing pin itself - the slender piece of metal that is attached to the center post was actually bent and the firing tip was bent back towards it's body...I got some needle nose and slightly straightness everything and pulled the tip away and now it is centered and the firing point doesn't slide down past the positive button of the battery- the real reason it was getting stuck in the "on" position.

I unscrewed the delrin cover pushed the firing pin out of the way then the button drops out took a pair of needle nose pliers and pinched it in easy peasy:)

If I remember correctly the hole for the pin actually goes all the way through the button so you should be able to push it back out should you choose on one of mine I actually pulled the pin out of the button
