I have had my reo for a month now it it receives some hardcore abuse at work. I excavate and finish concrete the majority of the time so my pockets are usually full of grime, grit and concrete dust. The build up on the reo builds quickly and I clean every few days but between light juice spills from the atty airhole and grime.... the button gets a little rough when pressing and sometimes takes fiddling now and then to fire.

Any recommendations? Can I remove the locking mechanisim as I never use it? I Think I saw it mentioned before (ya being lazy tonight and not looking for myself). Would that help free things up for a few extra days before cleaning? I know a daily cleaning would do it but the last thing i want to do is clean the reo every single night after a days work, weekly is more ideal for my life style. Do any of you guys use a plastic lube around the button area? If so what kind? Lube might be a bad idea though in my case, may build up more gunk! What ya think?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

By the way, this Reo and cyclone combo with my new ADV "The Vial- Blushing Cherries" is literally mouth watering delicious. Maybe I am slobbering on my button too LOL. OH Man I am licking the flavor of my lips and going through 15ml/$15 a day. I never was a sweet flavor vapor but times have changed for sure.

Yeah. You can remove the pin.

It's easy to take apart and clean, too. Just remove the screw in the delrin cover (just below the magnets - or magnet if a mini -) and the cover comes out. Further disassembly is pretty obvious once you can see it, but if you need help, there are a few videos around that show the process.

Hey, fellow Oregonian! You can push the pin in or yank/break/ file it off if you never use it. As for the $15 per day, I strongly suggest trying a diluted mixture with some unflavored.in my experience, the flavor doesn't drop off much even at 50%. Saves some serious bucks. I use unicorn blood like a flavoring, ten or 15 drops per 6 ml bottle mixed with unflavored is still pretty awesome at .7 ohms.

Just thinking out loud here but I wonder if a spray of canned air blown up through the button would work to get rid of the dust during the week?

It sure wouldn't hurt to try! If the collecting stuff is usually just dry and dust like it should blow it out!

Great suggestion!
