Atm I am still vaping with it *as is*. I am still hoping to first get my new blue Buzz finally before I start fiddling around with the turquoise one. As I had it opened already and understood the problem and how to fix it /thanks to Mike's walkthrough/ I see that it's really just a minor thing ... but it has to be done extremely carefully. And I will be much calmer once I know there's another Buzz on my table which I can still use.... so I decided to hope and wait for the new one to finally arrive.

I have an idea what it might be that slows things down so much ... and I will have to write Mike & his staff an extensive mail as to how to go about making future shipments a bit more "customs-friendly" (meaning: low hassle!) :) :) :)

But as things are now the way they are.... certain measures and procedures will only help for future shipments.... *sigh*

Hey people!!! GOOOOOOOD news!!!!!!!

This morning, my "new blue" Buzz finally arrived :hubba: --- even delivered to my door by the postlady who collected the import sales tax ... and I've been enjoying it all day long already! :toast: This package took exactly 3 weeks to arrive here altogether, so that I have some hope that by beginning of next week, my purple Buzz will also make it back to its Daddy to get its bit of tender loving care. :D

:headbang: .....yeah, yeah, yeah..... :rickroll:

Edit What I completely forgot to mention earlier is, I do like this new surface a lot!!!! It feels silky and soft, VERY nice!!! Thanks for the improvement, Mike! :toast:

Thanks @ all! I am SO enjoying having 2 buzzes again ... and sure @Mike, I will have a watchmaker fix that button unit ... though, saying that, the last one broke the battery cap of my SWATCH ... and there is no replacement for that! And as it was beyond the warranty period .... hmmm, would I trust such a person to do my HOLY BUZZ????? I will have to think about it....

The good thing about having two buzzes now is: I can take in both and let them feel the difference in how it feels to press the button when it's tightly fixed and then compare it to the other one. And I will NOT have anybody else take my Buzz apart... so the guy must be quite tolerant in having me in his workshop sitting there with him and doing MY part of the job first... ;)

If however my wonderful "old blue" Buzz keeps on tracking until in late spring or early summer, I might come to the U.S. and visit my family anyway, and THEN I could as well send it to you. We'll see how things go... :)

The other possibility I am looking into is: on Feb.11th, I will be at a regional vaper's meeting and there will be quite a few of those adorable modders .. I might ask one of these guys beforehand in the forum if he feels like doing that during the get-together.... I would trust those people more than some ignorant shopkeepers... *giggle*

Let me know what you want to do , in any case we will get it fixed or help you get it fixed ! , there is always the toothpick behind the switch trick !! wedge a toothpick between the back of the switch and the tube across from it !!!! dirty but effective in the short term.

whhhhhhaaaattttttt??????????

I've tried it with various batteries etc.pp. I swear it didn't make anything ... it WAS dead!!!!

I am completely flabberghasted! Maybe there's a loose connection somewhere in there - so that through a bit of shaking and package-throwing underway, it then started working again?????

OH --- MY --- GAWWWWWDDDDDD!!!!! What a trip! :blink::blink::blink:

What do you do with it? Maybe, once you have it there ... measure all parts, see if everything works fine? Pooh, I don't know what to do, Mike?

~~~~~~~
Second thought: THANK GOD, it finally arrived!!!!
Due to a.x.hole German customs: when you send it back, would you pls make sure to write outside, that it was a REPAIR only, and the value of repair is 10 $$???
Atm Big Tobacco + Big Pharma united lobbies have declared WAR on us vapers, and they are using politicians, false information press releases through seemingly "authority channels" to confuse the people .. you wouldn't believe what's happening here right now!!! The world is going M-A-D!!!!! Literally! *grmp*
~~~~

third thought / second edit:

I am using the SAME batteries for all my buzzes alternately ... and the other ones work just fine ... how can that be???? I had the (old) blue one here already, so I alternated 3 pairs of batteries between these 2 buzzes -- the blue one worked, the purple one didn't. (Or am I going insane????) I am extremely worried...... what's happening there?

If it HAD BEEN that easy, Mike, I wouldn't have had to send it in.... I am working with the A2 self coiling atties, and both work(ed) fine on the other one .... this is all very mysterious. Of course, now I can't re-trace it, as I change the coilings every so many days.

Well, anyway ... if you can't find anything wrong in the inner parts: fine! I only hope that once you send it back to me it won't produce the same symptoms again! That would be terrible, if it happened once more... LOL :vapor:

Thing is: I also measured the voltage (with no atty on top - but a pair of fresh batteries in), and they showed just 1,9 in the orange position and 2,1 in the red position.

That's why you determined after all our posting back and forth, that the Buzz needs to go home as it's obviously not just a little thing.

But now, with this recent experience ... maybe there really is just a loose contact within the switch? Could that be the case? *hoping*
