So I've been making lots of vape purchases lately.. And it seems that I'm making all the wrong decisions, and regretting every one of them lol. I'm usually pretty indecisive when buying a new product, but lately it seems like I've been making lots of mistakes with my purchases..
I got the IPV3 for about $99 on Black Friday.. But now I want to sell it for an IPV Mini & a sigelei 150watt (wish I just waited!!).
I tried the Aspire Atlantis a few times and was really impressed with this sub ohm rda-performance from a clearo, so I found one for about $26 online, + 10 coils. A few days ago I tried the Subtank for the 1st time, as was blown away by the FLAVOR! But already had my Atlantis ordered - was thinking of trying to exchange them, but heard Aspire was releasing a 5mL Glass piece for it in a week, so I just loaded it up (got it today).
.... at least I seek out the best deals, lol :p

And now I'm kind of disappointed with the Atlantis. The clouds are good, but flavor is definitely muted..
I wish I went for the Subtank, the flavor on it was AMAZING. Clouds pretty much just as good. And despite the big clunky size, it actually looked really cool on an IPV Mini!!

I've hardly used my Hobo v2 clone that I got with my IPV3. And kind of wish I got the Doge or DarkHorse instead of my CLTv2, or waited for the CLT2+. I do enjoy the CLT2 though.
It seems like the only purchase I made that I don't regret, is the Billow Tank over the Lemo! And a lot of The O.B. juice by Suicide Bunny

Man....
I've been regretting pretty much every single purchase! I might need to try and sell/trade some of this stuff

I'm learning that I do love huge, thick clouds (lol). But that I'm more of a FLAVOR chaser..

And I am very happy with the performance of the IPV3, that's why I want the Mini..
... But the Sig150w just looks cooler IMO; I held it next to my IPV3. It looks nicer in black and more sleek. The button is bigger and nicer. And it has Magnets. Plus it's a Sigelei, a great brand - and the Plus and 150w seem more popular here than the IPV's

I'm also finding out that I don't need the battery life from two 18650's, although it is nice..
And I'll never that much POWER. I find myself vaping between 25-35w mainly. Haven't gone over 60w yet.

I need to do some selling/trading!

You might want to look into the SX Zero clone if you want a single battery device thatll do 50w (just above what it sounds like you prefer), nice big button, the Subtank looks incredible on it with no overhang, its very small and really nice! Not bad at $82 too, theres also a 35w version thats a bit cheaper. Its smaller than the IPV Mini also.

I save all my B sides... and keep them for spares.

Once They move down from spares to never ever used I make them into little kits with juice I don't use and give them away to friends that want to try vaping.

At the moment I have a Dovpo E-lvt, 2 MVPs, a kanger aero mega, a few kayfun clones, some egos. I have run out of people to give them to...

I will sell the bundle on ebay on a no or low reserve auction and spend the money on juice and coils...

When I started vaping all I could get were blu cigs, egos, CE4s and gas station juices in my town... I regretted every single purchase...

If you regret buying the Atlantis then you are truly in vape heaven....

I don't really get cloud chasing, but then I'm just looking for a good replacement for the cigarettes I used to smoke. In the almost 5 years I've been vaping it's been all about recreating the throat hit and exhaled vapor in a safer manner. If I get that, I'm a happy guy.

Flavor is going to be muted on a high VG juice compared to PG. The downside is that VG is where the big clouds reside. If you want flavor and some throat hit you have to tune the vape and switch to a higher PG juice. Some find a compromise in 50/50 mixes. Personally, I'm happy at 80pg/20vg and 70/30 mixes. I have vaped 100% PG mixes for the flavor, but miss some of the vapor exhale, so I tend to stay with a 20% to 30% VG component in the mix.

The guys at the local Stormy's Vapor Cellar near my house all use custom built high wattage mechs and they blow thick streams of VG vapor with .5 ohm coils. I've tried the DNA30 boxes they sell and find high vapor is easy at 20+ watts, but it's not what turns me on.

In general, that is simply not true. If the device is setup to properly to wick VG and the eliquid is full steeped, I get better flavor out of max VG (80%+).

I do the same thing. I always have to have the latest RDA/RTA/Box mod that comes out. I JUST got the sigelei 100w plus after selling my ipv3, and now I want to sigelei 150w. I should have a cloupor mini on the way as well. I also bought the IPV mini thinking it would be a great stealth device, but it just turns out to be a great device in general, and not very stealthy. It makes my wallet hurt and my girlfriend angry.

I think everyone to some degree has this issue. So far as a consumer base, we're kind of lumped into a single group and marketed to as such. But there are really two completely different type of vapors out there....lung and mouth-to-lung inhalers. Obviously there are some that enjoy both but for the most part, we're as different as menthol and non-menthol smokers. I have a Mophisto dripper, and Atlantis and an Orchid that are collecting dust because I can't get a good M2L hit on any of them and I prefer M2L hits (ex-smoker so of course). Had someone told me when I began vaping that some items out there are specifically for lung hitters, I'd probably be better off but live and learn I guess. I think as the "hobby" grows, we'll be provided with more information about the goal designers have when creating these devices which will hopefully help us decide if they're right for us. For instance, I KNOW the Atlantis was really created for sub-ohm, cloud chasing lung hitters. I know this because I bought one not knowing that at the time. The Kanger Subtank...still not sure but this time I'm waiting until I can either try it or find a review that specifically discusses the worth of this device for both lung and M2L hitters. See...live and learn. LOL!!!

I hate the screws on the ipv3 it's a big hassle for me I know it sounds dumb but that's the only con I have for it.

Well hopefully they learned their lesson as there is none on the IPV Mini. Though that could be just because of the form factor but I'm willing to give 'em the benefit of the doubt for now, huh? I have a POS DNA 30 mod I got on eBay and the USB charging went out like three days in. I have little screwdrivers all around my house now. I feel your pain Kiznar!

It seems like the only purchase I made that I don't regret, is the Billow Tank over the Lemo!

Shoulda got a Lemo. It is, by far, my favorite RTA.

Seriously though, sounds like you've got a bad case of shinyitis.

Vaping is like anything else tech related, the newer and better is always coming out next week. You just have to come to terms with the fact that the new things coming out do not make your things any less "good".

I'm like that commercial where the girl wants a tablet and she's trying out everyone else's in coffee shops and such but in our B&M, drip tip in hand.."can I try your gear" then I know if I'll like before I buy ...."here she comes take off your drip tips" can be heard after the entry bell goes off *lol*

glad to hear that about the SubTank that's the next purchase. :)

I'd have to take a wild guess and say that you have an extreme case of the dreaded dual plague of the 'vaping bug', with some 'shiny-itis' thrown in. It starts very sowly, almost imperceptibly, usually just by purchasing one or two pieces of vaping equipment and a juice or two. The bug has now infiltrated (I believe it attacks the brain first), and then, BAMMM!! It quickly grows out of control, literally taking over most normal brain function.

The bad news is, it is highly addictive, and it can take a while before you hit dead bottom and 'bottom out'. Entire family's have been known to be ruined by the ultimate costs of this dual plague. The good news, the treatment is fairly simple, yet difficult to carry out, which is: watch your wallet!! :p

Out of all 27 of mine I use maybe 3 of them. Yes a bit of a waste but I refuse to sell anything till the government has the final rules and regulations in place. I would rather have lots of extras and be stock piled in case the worst happens I will still be good. That's why I only buy rebuildable heads and I loaded up with lots of spare parts to rebuild them as tanks, seals, screws ect as parts won't last forever. Can always sell things down the road when everything settles out. CHEERS!
