Buying an ecig as a Christmas present

I am thinking about buying my brother an ecig for Christmas but am not sure what the best brands are or what he would personally prefer. Is it ideal to buy an ecig up front and see how he likes it or to do more investigation? Thx for the tips.

depending on where you are in cali i would find a near by store... there are many around, i know of a volcano kiosk in clover city, and there are other brands in san diego... if you can find one near by maybe taking him along and letting him pick it out would be best...since there is no one setup for everyone... half my friends use larger mods and love them a few use stick type batteries and are fine with them.

That is a very thoughtful gift, to get someone off cigarettes. I am in a different situation as the people I am gifting have had the opportunity to try mine and expressed interest. Since you don't say what or how much he smokes, or even how old he is, it is difficult to make a recommendation. It is kind of an individual thing.

Have you talked to him about it? It would be a bummer to get a whole setup and then find he isn't interested at all

That is a great idea too, there are a lot of shops in California. Perhaps you can find a shop near you and pay them a visit to find out the choices, then maybe see if he would want to go and pick out some flavors? The flavors are so different person to person also.

That's a good idea to take him to a shop so an expert can address his smoking habits. I could sit around all day doing research but true why make an investment in something that is so personalized. Ejuice is a whole different ball park lol! This is the most exciting gift I can think of for him. He's been consistently smoking since he was 15 I think, he's 20 now.

My brother got my wife and I a joyetech 510T for christmas, and I love it. I think it's probably one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. It's gotten me away from analogs, and a chance to quit for good and possibly a new hobby. Feel free to PM me if I can from the perspective of a newb.
