yeah i wasnt sure, if i was doing something wrong or not, with the blanks....

sometimes i fill a cartomizer and suck it on it and nothing comes out, i dont think its burnt up because i like to fill them up when flavor seems to be gone... most of the times i dont squeeze more then 15 drops...

leaford are you still hangin in china and if so how long are you going to be overthere, china's typhoon season can be pretty brutal, depending were you are of course...

I started out buying blanks since that is what I was used to doing with my previous PV. It didn't take long for me to come to the exact same conclusion as you (and of course the wise and sage Keyzygirl) - buy em filled, refill with something similar a few times, boil em out, and start over. If the blanks were significantly cheaper I could see the point, but as Leaford said, each to his own :)

cari what do you think of burnt pizza flavoring,

if you dont have time to heat up a few slices of pizza in the oven or toaster oven and forget its in there until it smokes up the house, this is the flavor for you....

jamvector i see that you are a cheesehead i know you guys up there flip flop alot (just kidding thats my bret favre joke of the day), how many blanks did you buy before you switched over to just buying flavor catomizers?? my total is 2 sets of 5...

Dude, if you notice the jersey I'm wearing in my avatar, I'm not the one flip-flopping! My wife on the other hand, sad story; she had to have the purple #4 - she's a TRAITOR!!!! I'm just happy to watch him lose big playoff games for teams other than the Pack for a change.

In all seriousness, I had gotten two packs of blanks, as I still had a bunch of juice from Johnson Creek, and thought that would be the best way to go. After receiving a few freebie carts from V4L however, I started buying prefilled, and have never looked back. I am primarily a menthol fan, so have since been buying V4L menthol sampler packs 1 and 2; probably have gotten about 6 or 7 of them so far. I can't decide which flavors I like best; probably Smilin Special or regular Menthol; but the Kools, Kamel, Parliament, Virginia, Dunhall, Nuport, ALL are good! Refill 3 - 4 times via carto cap and a little of the Taryn spin, boil, then start over. It just doesn't get any better than this :)

I am new to carto's and was wondering what the proper boiling method is
How many "cigs" do you get out of a VFL cart?
Thanks

Hi Paul, welcome to the club. Here is a link to a thread 10 pages deep with everything you always wanted to know about boiling carts: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/71761-boiling-cartos.html. Usually you can refill with the carto cap method 3 or 4 times before you need to clean them.

Too hard to estimate a cig / cart ratio as it is extremely dependent on vaping style. I was a pack a day Newport Light 100 smoker and I go through about 3 carts per day on average (more when beer is present). Get a bunch of carts and let us know your opinion!

I'm guessing the cost of a couple drops of juice in the blanks isn't enough to raise the price.

They'll actually hold at least 1ml. So a pack of five blanks will hold the same as a pack of five pre-filled will be equivalent to 5ml of juice.

I buy them for color control and juice selection.

Thanks for the thread link on cleaning the cartos. Newbies like me haven't seen it yet. The only thing I'm missing now is how to tell when the carto is running near empty. I've been vaping the same one for 3 days so far...

Just waiting for a burnt taste I suppose. Then I'll know better the next time.

Throw on a fresh carto of the same flavor and compare to the old one. If you're low, you can tell the difference in flavor right away - no need to vape it into oblivion! That's how I got the feel for when carts are low. And it doesn't take long to pick up on that difference without the comparison.
