Buying flavorless nic - do you ever worry about its actual mg?

Hi everyone,

So, I'm pretty new to this vaping scene. It's been three months I think (I didn't keep track of my quit date...but its recent enough that I'm still saying thanks to all you guys...so thanks!). I'm about to start making my own juice (personal), but still want to buy in large (not huge) amounts to reduce cost (keeping long term storage degradation in mind). My question is, do you ever worry about the actual nicotine content of your flavourless nic (vs the advertised mg)? How many of you have found there to be a discrepancy after testing?

I'm buying in Canada, from who I understand to be a reputable online vendor, but since I'm so new to this I have no idea really. I'm asking specifically about North American experiences as I'm sure globally things can vary.

Thanks again!

Thanks Bkag, I asked my vendor in an email yesterday if an exchange/refund was possible in the event it tested differently...I haven't heard back (I hope I didn't insult them).

I'll check the kit out. I was going to use this testing procedure, but haven't gotten around to getting everything together - a kit would be nice:

Thanks

it couldnt hurt to test it with a testing kit. you can find results from ecf members that have tested nic from different vendors. check the DIY E-Liquid sub-forum.
i do think the best thing you can do to protect yourself is to buy from a well-known reputable seller. but im sure even they could make mistakes. there was a debacle a while back regarding nic base from a company called Box Elder.
i trust wizard labs personally.

I never worried. Bought from 2 reputable companies on here and everything was fine. Think I bought 5 250 ml bottle over the time.

The last one I bought was a 250 bottle of 12mg pg. I was going to cut some of my 25/75 liquid so I wouldn't have to hacksaw my carts anymore for my carto tank. After mixing some up ( 50% of the 25/75 and 50% of the 100 pg - figuring around 70/30 somewhat) it felt like a freight train hit me. I am unsure if it was the high % pg or their nic% was wrong. I just left it the freezer until I decide what to do about it.

It worked fine in the carts though..

The website you posted also sells kits and says they have them in stock: http://www.eliquidtest.com/BuyNow.aspx
