I vape for the heck of it... I could leave it behind anytime... I put a very small nicotine in my "stash" of DIY as without it, it feels bland I find, but even then, the amount is probably close to 1mg or less.

I took into it just because I do it as a "hobby" for myself, BUT, I am into it to help my wife and daughter (and anyone that I can help, as per my presence in this forum) to get and stay off cigarettes.

Myself, I never had a cigarette addiction (or to anything), I could pick one up and not think twice about it anytime... I did it more as a what the heck thing now and them on occasions.

I do enjoy the warmth thing of vaping, so I vape, I consider it better than chewing on candies or such, and the hobby part of building and DIY, and the wife and kids reap the "rewards" as they don't have the same type of mentality towards it that I do (partly to make the efforts to go the the "better" levels as they came around), which is to learn as much about it as possible, support it as an healthier alternative to smoking, etc.

When I switched to vaping, few years ago, I did it with the intent of quitting nicotine assumption altogether, in a tapered fashion.
After a year or so, I changed my intentions.
After having assessed the effects on body and mind, I decided that if I don't want nicotine anymore, I will switch to zero Nic e-juice.
Knowledge of the technical aspects of vaping gear is essential to fully enjoy it if you like to experiment new tastes. Also, I need to use a mod to achieve some good runtime and fine controllability, but I love the pen-style (Innokin vv3 above all) and look forward to new batteries being introduced to the market. I don't plan to quit vaping anymore, rather, I plan to evolve, and I am happy to see that the big player in the market are dedicating some efforts in improved gear for ex-tobacco smokers. I mean the Nautilus 2, Triton mini etc.
I vape now 90% of the time at 8 - 10 Watt on Nautilus coiled tanks, and the remaining 10% of the time at 40 - 120 Watt on Protank4, Serpent and Griffin, filled with very low or zero Nic e-juices.
Using the extreme flexibility of vaping to my advantage, without extreme and unnecessary resolutions...

I don't plan on stopping vaping. Then again, I didn't plan on quitting smoking cigarettes, even though I knew (for way more than half the 30+ years that I did smoke) that smoking was bad for me. But last week I was in a hospital for 5 days, and I didn't vape at all. I did miss the action somewhat, but I didn't any cravings whatsoever. Maybe for a second or so the few times we had group therapy outside I thought about it. On the trip home (about 2 hours) I did think once or twice about not vaping anymore, and even though I didn't have a mod with me, there was no 'I can't wait to get home and vape' thoughts.

    I'm now home; and vaping..

I have absolutely no plans nor desires to quit vaping. I like it much better than I ever liked smoking (and that's saying a lot since I smoked for 42+ years). I love the flavors, the smell of the vapor, the relaxed feeling it gives me, and the fact that it satisfies my hand-to-mouth habit, too. Also, my health has improved in many ways since vaping helped me quit smoking, and there have been absolutely no bad health problems caused by my vaping!

Only ways I will ever quit vaping 1. If I suffer any ill health effects directly related to vaping 2. If the cost of it ever get ridiculous 3. If it becomes illegal then see number 2. other then that I enjoy it quite a bit I don't even think I'm addicted to anything anymore just out of habit only time I use juice that has nic in it is late at night or first thing in the morning.

I'm 66 and smoked about the same amount for 47 yrs. Still feel like I'd immediately smoke again if I couldn't vape and it's been over three years since I've had a cigarette.

Well, I'm 66 and smoked for 48 years. Close to 3 years without a smoke. Guess I started a year younger than you.

Sometimes I get a little burned out with the hobby / obsession side of vaping. All the wire and bottles and clutter and time. On the other side of the coin there are some strong hints that nicotine helps with Alzheimer's. There's a lot of that in my family tree.

    I'm government-proofed now and I can't imagine quitting.

I must be the odd man out. I have plans of quitting as soon as my stash of nic runs out.

Last calculation puts me at 124 years old.

    :lol::lol::lol:

I tried straight un-flavored VG last night out of shear curiosity. It tasted just like a Twinky!

    Really?
I always thought it tasted somewhat like snot.
