Buzz, 510 connector center screw, safe to unscrew it a little?

Hello,

I want to unscrew the 510 connector's center screw a little to make the draw a little more airy. Is it safe for the buzz or I am going to loose a cable connection by doing this?

LOL Poppa I raise mine too. I always figured that was why it was a screw. Im sure Mike will see this and let us know if thats a good idea or not

Mine is a 901 and it is part of the positive connection so it might get intermittent power to it but you can tighten it back up if you do.

It will not raise the screw , there is no support for it on the bottom side , you would need to put a washer under it to make it raise up ! , as far as increasing airflow ???? It was not designed to do that but it might ???? the airflow on a 510 is from the small holes in the side of the atty and the slots in the top of the female end .

Well there is no real support under it so I guess you are careful LOL !
BTW it is a M2 screw but a #2 washer should work

The trouble is next month they will come out with another carto or atty that is completely different then you'll have to do something else. The treads designs on these cartos and atty's are all over the place. Thats why I use a tiny adapter that can be adjusted from one 510 to another.

Yeah I hear that 5CS I mostly use 808 stuff and good adapters are hard to find. Most of them have a weird center post. I would love to find a adjustable 901-808 adapter.

I got mine from Good Prophets. When you don't put them on the Buzz tightened all the way it lowers the center. When you put them all the way tight it raises the center. You can change the airflow by the distance you put them on the buzz. At least it works for me. The 510s are the hardest.

got mine [510-.510] at COV, think MadVaps has them too. Twisted Texas has the 4 inch flexible ones that are nice driving

Must be just a coincidence that it happened after going to IE9. Learned a long time ago when troubleshooting a problem check the last thing you/they worked first.

I got mine at mad vapes you can also get them at Avid or at Good Prophets for $.99.. I get hard to find adapters at The Better Way To Smoke - Mod Parts but they don't have a 510 to 510.

Jumi the adapters have the center post held in with a soft insulator. The center post on many is pushed up by the center post of the Buzz so the farther you screw it onto the Buzz the higher the center raises and especially with my 901 to 510.

Yes, I know this soft insulator from 901 -> 510 adapters. As a matter of fact, in the past I used with buzz for a while a 510 -> 901 -> 510 adapters set to make the draw more free. It worked but it added too much length so I dropped the idea. But a tiny 510 -> 510 adapter sounds great.

oh they must be new. I got to have one to add to my collection. I'm now at 20 adapters. I love adapters.
