Well...I did add to such a thread.
I removed the batteries and submerged the Buzz, top cap first, into a shot glass and then poured ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL (90%) until the button was covered. I then left it over night sitting upright in the alcohol.
The following morning after removing my Buzz from the shot glass of alcohol, I shook and dried it as best I could. I then used my wifes hair dryer on low and blew into the tube from end cap and also I unscrewed the top cap and blew the dryer from that end as well. I alternated several times from one end to the other for several minutes.
I then put fresh batteries in, screwed the top cap back on, threaded a carto, and my Buzz was back to new again.
I had tried shortcuts such as just pouring some alcohol into the tube and shaking it a couple times, but that was not good enough. It would still fire on its own.
Only after the overnight procedure did it get back to 100% again. My Buzz is now the Bomb it always was.
Good luck and let us know if this does the trick.
