At a certain current the device will throttle back the current , IF it gets to hot it will Shut down to save itself . until it cools off . this is a VERY Smart chip in the Pro series , it is used in Cisco servers etc. so it has to be good .

it really is a 12 watt device but will go a little beyond that.

I thought I broke it (wouldn't be the first time  ) when it throttled back at first. As soon as I kicked it down a hair it was fine. Very Cool !!!

It is all to protect itself , like I said it is a VERY smart device !
you seem to be getting good times on the Infinity Pro huh Wharf ??? feel free to post them.

I had the dial all the way down at 3.2 volts. I think the juice just burned like salemgold said. 100% PG Strawberry. I checked the carto this morn and its pure white so the poly didn't burn! Yay. Thank you for the offer 5C but I think this one may be ok... I'll let you know today....

Good luck with it.:thumb:

Yeah I would be surprised to see the filler actually burn in one. I have seen many try to burn it with no luck :) On the other hand I think that the juice can and will burn but at least we have the option of getting the burnt juice out and reusing :)

Wharf have you checked the loaded voltage on your DCs? You have one of the screw on meters that you can screw a carto on top of I believe.

I'm getting one of them right now.

All I can say is as good as the Buzz was, the Pro is that much better. I truly believe it's the best PV I've ever used. It hasn't once give me that too hot to vape thing. It's like it goes as high as it can and still be good.

I do Bov, but it's 808 to 808 and I don't have the adaptors to make it work.

AND I don't have a DC.................... BUT thanks to a certain claymation character, I will have one soon :)

So I finally got some dual coils. I've been vaping on the same set of batts for 2 days now. Around 8 hours of total vape time with the dial all the way down. Somehow I managed to burn something in the carto. My juice started off a yellowish orange and now its turning brown and tastes like crap. So I'm soaking it in alcohol overnight so I can continue testing tomorrow. I will keep y'all posted, but so far 8 hours on these batts. Gotta say its nice to go somewhere and not have to bring an extra set of batts. Total confidence in this Buzz Pro!!!

Okay, I finally see what your talking about. It's the Juice. I just put a carto on that was filled awhile back with one of them sweet flavor, a 2 Ohm, and took a puff. Great then I turned it up and wow, nothing but burnt taste. I've used this carto with my regular juice same way without that happening.

the mystery of burnt atty / carto unfolds... in a general sense, will sweet juice, or possibly other types of juice be more prone to burning at higher voltages?
something to beware in any circumstance?
would be good to identify the substances.

Well in an LR at high voltages I guess it will because I've not had it happen before because I usually only vape tobacco flavors but this was a sweet flavor. BTW I have another of the exact same carto on now with my juice and it's not burnt tasting at 5 volts. It's higher than I'd vape at but I'm testing.

See I don't like tobacco flavors anymore. All I have is fruits, desserts, drinks. Ive. Used lr boges and didn't have this problem. With the DC I never went past 4 volts. It had to have been one of two things or both. 100% PG or not quality juice. I got it from a well known vendor tho. Idk that's the only carto I had that problem with but its clean no and working great with a different juice. 80pg 20vg.

A follow up on the time on the DC..... I got 9hrs and 32mins of vape time from trustfires 880 mah flame batts ;-)
