Fj is the new cap center screw taller ??if so they might have put the wrong spacer in there ?
Not sure what you mean. The screw itself is the same as original Buzz, but it fits taller. On the Buzz, the top of screw head is below lip of threaded post. On BP, it's flush. I have three Buzzes (I giggled typing that) and they are all the same and all perfect. Only BP is out of order.

I'm living with it, but it's annoying because as a dripper I routinely remove atty for wiping down threads and such (need to for good conductivity.) On the Buzz, I just whip them on and off, but on BP, have to concentrate and get it just right and then it still doesn't go on as far.

Just wanted to add that I'm way too familiar with small threaded devices, and I know there can be issues. I was thrilled when I realized that the Buzz was going to like my atties so well. So that makes the BP more distressful than it would have been.

Also, tried a few other atties and the first one was the worst. They still don't go on as far, but it's easier to get them going. Grungy threads I suppose, but the atty isn't tough enough to rely on it smoothing the threads with use. I'll get a magnifier and see if there's anything to see on the threads of the adapter post.

Okay, here's my findings. Opened up OB (original Buzz) and BP. Spacer in OB is largish diameter, black, and if someone asked I'd say 1mm.

BP is smaller diameter, white, and if someone asked, I'd say 1mm.

But, the black (OB) spacer is visibly a bit thicker than the white (BP.)

Yes, this is for the 801.

The brass post (under which the spacer sits) clicks up and down about the width of the spacer. This movement is probably what I felt as the final "thickish" feel to tightening the atty.

I rigged (jammed) a small fiber washer in there and put it back together. I works electrically, and now it bottoms out hard just like the OB. Still doesn't go on very far, but far enough, I'm not complaining. The outer screw is now about like the OB ones depth wise.

Looks like just a small change in spacer (different supplier?) was enough to bother the atty? Or do I really have the wrong spacer? It works much better with that washer in there taking up the slack.

Buzz Pro #160 arrived this morning. I freaked because I didn't think I have any batteries. Then I realized they were the rcr123a kind. I have plenty. This is SWEET!

When my 16mp HD webcam arrives, I will do a review. I don't want to do a written one.

I hope them are the 3.7 volt 123s and not the 3 volt ones. The 3 volt ones will give you a very short vaping time.

The only RCR123a's that I know of are 3V.

Now...the ICR123's are 3.7V.
