Hello All
I just want to say how much I really enjoy this site. I have been looking around for a few weeks. I have learned so much.

I have been vapeing for a few weeks now. The last pack of analogs purchased was Jan 8. Also the day I purchased a njoy starter kit for $19. I purchased the njoy visiting family. I liked the idea of being able to "smoke" while driving home with my family in the car. 900 miles later, and I was convinced this was better. I was also almost convinced I didn't mind the lack of smoke and smell.

I have been a analog smoker on and off since I was 15. I have smoked a pipe and cigars for many years also. I am a father of 4 Ages from 13 to almost 2. My youngest is resting in the arms of the angels. My second one was born with a disability. I live for my family, and outside of pipe tobacco blending they are my hobby.
As the years have gone my family has grown increasingly concerned about my cigarette habit. They don't like the fact I smoke. They like my pipes, and don't mind them. I rarely get to smoke a pipe with a little one in the house. Plus tobacco prices are so high now I cannot really afford to buy tins.

I to decided that maybe I need to quick smoking. It is getting expensive, and I have started noticing some health problems. When I found the Njoy I was very excited. I used up the carto and purchased a disposable njoy. I was waiting for a small bottle of juice to arrive in the mail. I have been refilling the carto ever since. This unit is a 1 battery 1 carto kit. I really have enjoyed it greatly.

I would like to order something maybe a little different to see what I am missing. From the forum I have gathered that like my piped you get what you pay for. So I am looking for some suggestions. The price needs to be low entry. I am in a single income lower lower middle class home. Between the medical bills and living expenses things are tight. I am trying to save up some of the money I would have spent on analogs (2.5 packs a week). I think in a month or 2 I should be able to order a new kit.

Again any advice is welcomed. I am mainly looking for a good vapor experience. Looks are not everything to me, but something cool would be a bonus.

Thank you everyone for reading my post, and I look forward to future conversations

Welcome to ECF kbpipes! The E Power is probably one of the better kits that is being offered right now. It's a bit larger than an analog cigarette and has the advantage of being bundled with replaceable batteries and also cartomizers rather than the atomizer/cartridge combo that many of the kits have. This kit would be complete except for the juice.

Congrats on quitting. I have recently joined myself and really the only thing I miss is pipe smoking. I have a large collection and may still use my pipe once in a while but to actually inhale smoke...never again thanks to vaping.

I ditto everyone on ego's the cost is somewhat minimal and the device is good. For a little larger initial outlay a rebuildable atomizer type mod such as the zenesis, or genesis (there are others too) is a great way to save in the long run, if you don't contract MOD Fever . I understand that it takes a little fiddling to make the atty but the costs when you have one will be to buy a battery once in a while (7-15 dollars), some kanthal wire (it's low cost too), and juice.

There are so many choices that you really can't go wrong. This forum is a great place to learn and observe other peoples experiences, and everyone is so helpful and kind (this is ashoutout to all you helpful members :toast:)

As Darkside mentioned, the Riva Kit (Ego) from liberty flights us is a good investment (make sure to click 20% off). These are somewhat versatile, disposable batteries that can last you for months.

In making your decision you should consider a few things:

1. The smaller the battery (lower mah) the more often the ecig will need to be charged.
2. Some mods have replaceable batteries allowing you to adjust the power of the ecig along with a much longer battery life.
3. Using a universal thread on the battery - 510 is the most popular - will allow you to have more choices in equipment as you go along
4. The best ecig in the world is the one that keeps you off of the analogs.
5. Some types of mods (modified ecigs) hold their value. Popular brands can be bought and typically resell for about 80% of the purchase cost.

Sorry to be so wordy. We all have our likes and dislikes w/ ecigs so it makes sense for you to look at all angles before making the buy. Make sure to think about using ECF vendors as they are vetted for high quality products and good service.

Good Luck and Welcome!!

Hi and welcome to ECF. You've got some advice on what to consider purchasing so I'll just let you know that you've got a local vape shop where you can actually go and browse and ask all the questions you want. It's easier to choose what's right for you if you can see what each model looks and feels like before you buy. DFWvapor's address is on this page:

I thought I saw that DFW vapor has a local shop. When I went to their site a 2nd time I could not find the info on it. I almost purchased some juice from them. I opted not because of the S/H. I will go this weekend to check them out. Thanks for the info cskent.

@tcolley65 Yeah I will never give up my pipes. I own about 90 or so.. They remind me of good times, and the hope for a better financial future lol :)

And thanks everyone else.
