Well, after 26 years of a pack of Marlboros every day, I had my last analogue eight days ago. I can't believe how fabulous I feel. I went and bought perfume for the first time in 20 years! Thank god for ecigs, and thank you everyone on the Forum! Thanks to you I learned what to buy, how to vape, where to find great juice, how to maintain the machinery, and I couldn't be happier. Ecigs are fabulous, and you all are wonderful!!

Y'all are fabulous. I already bought an extra atty (I tried to clean one in the starter kit and ended up destroying it) and have done very well keeping my batteries rotating so I'm never caught without a charge. And I CAN still smell my perfume at 5:30!
I was at Target getting a coffee and asked the guy behind the counter why the place smelled like popcorn. He said it was the food counter around the corner. I have been at this place numerous times and never smelled the food before! (That's one thing I'm getting used to- all the smells are not necessarily good smells). I told him about quitting and he begged to know how- so I pulled out my eGo and explained the whole thing and told him about the forum. He said ecigs were expensive, and I didn't argue- I just said, "well, I was spending upwards of 200 bucks a month on cigarettes," and he agreed, so hopefully I just got a convert!
Congrats to the 2-week quitter! I'm going to post my non-smoking status on Facebook when I get to ten days. So far no one except my mother knows, because I've tried to quit so many times before, and always failed- I didn't want to disappoint anyone. But this time- well, I can tell, its going to stick.

Just out of curiosity, I have been exercising a lot (tons of excess energy) and while my chest pain has significantly diminished, its still there. Can anyone tell me when I can expect it to really start disappearing?

The thing that helped me was not putting pressure on myself. Every time in the past, when I said, "I'm going to quit!" cigarettes became the forbidden fruit. Switching between tobacco and vaping really helped, because I was never saying "I'll never smoke again!" I just told myself, "Okay, you're having a nic fit. Vape first. If you still want a cigarette after that, you can." The vaping took care of the fits, and I never felt like I was denying myself anything. After two weeks, I just couldn't handle tobacco anymore. It was great.

Welcome newbie70 and LanceMcKilroy!

@LanceMcKilroy: I say go for it! I's worked for a whole lot of us!
@newbie70: +1 on being able to smell the good, the bad and the ugly! I currently find myself shying away from my (still) smoking buddies, but I don't have the heart to tell them it's because they kinda stink!

newbie70, I am currently on day 8 also, seems like my nose and taste buds are starting to come back

LanceMcKilroy, the PV is the way to go, different flavors and everything. I smoked the Marbs for 22 years and I have really liked the non-tobacco flavors, english toffee was the first I really liked and menthol is usually a nice taste-even though I never cared for menthol cigs, and I am vaping apple-cinnamon now and it is good
