Chocoate seems to be a tricky one.Tfa makes some good ones, these are the only ones i've tried, haven't tried any other brands. The trick to a good chocolate seems to be using a few different ones though, mixing dark chocolate with milk chocolate, etc.

Yeah, that's what I've read but I've only got one so far and honestly I think its going in the sink n I'll save that nice little container.

IMO, chocolates are tricky. try using only 1% or 2% then work up to maybe 4% or 5% if its not strong enough. steeping time will increase the flavor note

When I get another flavor I plan I trying it the way you suggested. I just didn't care much for the chocolate, coconut, almond capella flavor.

Plus, add some creams, vanillas, and maybe a sweetener. That's what is added to chocolate bars. It might round out the chocolate and other flavors.

I did add some sweet cream and a lil bit of cotton candy for sweetener. I think I just started to high...like about 10%..lol. Oh well, I'm going to order some different chocolate and try it again.

perhaps wizard labs.
are you using needles for DIY?

1/27 #5
I ordered my supplies from WL. I got the syringes but didn't order the needles with them...Opps. So, I went to the local pharmacy and bought a few large gauge syringes from them. They work okay but on the thicker juices like vg its hard to draw fluid up in them.

Does anyone know where to get longer syringe needles? Maybe 3 to 4 inches. Having difficulties getting far enough into some bottles with the ones I have. Blunt tips are preferred.
4..5mL Narrow Stem Transfer Pipet Disposable Non-Sterile Pipet Globe Scientific
Here are plastic pipettes. This is just the first place I goggled. These are about 6" long and .1" in diameter.
I googled 1 ml plasic pipettes.
The stem is marked so you can add that amount into you formula. They are also alot easier to control the "drop" size and number.
These are called transfer type because they have the squeeze bulb made as part of the pipettes. You can get 1 ml total volume with .1 ml marks, but you need a bulb to attach on one end to draw the liquid into the pipette.

Random question...
Has anyone ever experienced headaches from high pg juice?

I've never gotten headaches from high PG, but I have from chain vaping high nicotine juices. I also can't chain vape some of the really expensive juices, even when they are lower in nicotine and high in VG. There are a few that make me a little bit head achy and sick feeling.

I never thought to mention the pipettes to Mac, but I've used them myself to take out VG and PG. I don't know whether they are as accurate as syringes, but they do help to get the liquid out of larger bottles!

I made DIY very simple for myself by making a few bottles of base liquid at whatever PG/VG ratio I want to start with and the nicotine added in.
I use 1ml syringes for flavoring and a 10ml syringe for adding the base liquid.

I add my flavoring first and then squirt the base liquid in, shake and vape or steep and vape EZ PZ
the final mix ratio will depend on how much flavoring you add and wheather its a PG (like most are) or a VG base flavoring. either way a few % up or down is a non factor to me.

walmart and most drug stores will give you the 10ml syringe free for the asking if you go to the druggist and aske them for a "medicine dispensing" syringe for giving your kid liquid tylenol or benedryl

I plan on mixing up some bottles of what I want for my base then just add flavors later on. Not concerned if the PG/VG ratio or nic level fluctuates a bit as it will be close.

I buy gallon jugs of VG and pour off 120ml from the bottle then pour 120ml of 100% nic and shake, I also do the same w/the PG as well. no muss no fuss. I then pour off into 120ml bottles for DIY projects. the rest stays in a cool dark place until I need more

That's probably just a bit more than I need to have on hand.:D

I have some pipettes and almost used them but wasn't sure how accurate they would be so put them away again. They would be good for reach way down into a bottle to transfer into something smaller.

The pipettes should be acurate. We use the 1 ml for measuring our acids to adjust the pH in lab samples. We are looking to add amounts under 1ml so they are marked off in .1 ml increments.

good to know they accurate. I'll probably have to mark the lines on mine with a marker so I can see it easier - that little indentation don't show up too good.

Yeah, it does help to have that confirmation. I also still like to have some throat hit, maybe because I can't feel it in my lungs. I still remember how I would feel when I had gone too long without a cigarette. Having that first one after a couple of hours, and holding the smoke in my lungs for a while, and then watching the smoke come out was very satisfying.

I guess that's why I'm not trying to lower my mg's of nicotine. I know how easy it would be for me to go back to smoking if I didn't have my vaping equipment. I'm still very addicted to the nicotine and the act of smoking, and I still get jittery when I haven't vaped for a while.

Power keeps blinking here, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I started at 24 then dropped to 18. As I was making the transition to 12 I started dripping.
Now I do 6. 9 or 12 with 9 working best for me.
6 isn't enough & 12 I can't vape too much of I get nic rush

I actually made a point of not trying any tobacco flavors when I started vaping as I wanted to distance myself from smoking. Since I had just started a new carton of cigarettes when I picked up my starter kit, having the dissonance in flavor really helped. Several months later, I received a tobacco flavor as a sample and tried it... Yuck!
I started with tobacco flavor because I was replacing cigs with vaping but soon found there are many better flavors out there

Question for everyone....how many of you have joined CASAA ?

We need to be organized to oppose the FDA and various state and local governments that want to crush vaping
and put Cactus Esmokes out of business.
It's free to join (contributions are welcome..:)) and get the latest information on the world of vaping.
