Getting Caffeine Fix as Easy as Taking Deep Breath

Move over, coffee and Red Bull. A Harvard professor thinks the next
big thing will be people inhaling their caffeine from a lipstick-sized tube.
Critics say the novel product is not without its risks.

This article is not about e-cigs...However, there are
some interesting correlations.

Just came across this and was going to link it when I saw your post Petrodus.
The anti case that its going to be used to allow drinking to dropping is ludicrous as redbull already dose that (and tastes better to the demographic that so indulges). Like every new innovation fear is the first reaction but they need not panic. Caffeine is fine and dandy but I like it flavored coffee, not fruit or mint. But then again I once thought that of nicotine.

absolutely. thanks. this is a very good development. the cigarette/nicotine analogy to coffee/caffeine is lost on too many people. this might help some of them. and scare the crap out of the remainder. i'm thinking specifically about what DC2 pointed out at the TPSAC meeting. these guys sitting there drinking coffee talking about the evils of nicotine.

Whats next... Fog machine cigarettes!?:?::blink::laugh:

I can see this as being a really bad thing. Kids are going to SWARm over this stuff. Hopefully there's an age limit. SERIOUSLY. Can you imagine being the school teacher to a room full of 15 year old passing this crap around class and going nuts for hours?

I like to get my caffeine from a beverage while it quenches my thirst or to sip on so i can wake up. If I want an inhaler I want it when I'm having a asthma attack!

I think people may be confused with the hand to mouth gesture and decide it's okay to light up.
Best to ban these anyplace smoking is prohibited.
I agree...Caffeine Inhalers are a "Slippery Slope" :p

Mommie FDA should step in here and BAN Caffeine Inhalers
until they are proven to be 100% Safe

King County, Washington's BOH will soon hold an "Emergency" meeting
to evaluate whether or not to BAN the use of Caffeine Inhalers...
to "SAVE the Children"

We could not allow a forum for these as they may be too dangerous. We don't know what the health implications are, and the FDA has not tested them. The flavors show they are marketed toward children, and probably controlled by the tobacco industry. If they can prove they are safe then it is different, we can consider them (requires 25 years' data which we will then lie about or ignore).
